I never understand why we don't tactically start a brawl when a team gets a run like that. It is the number one thing that can turn a game because they get hot and flustered and start making dumb decisions.

It should have been done in the final against Port and should have been done tonight. It doesn't matter if you lose but it will slow the momentum.

Saints played about as good as they could.
We played about as poor as we could, complacency hits again, a real wake up call to anyone getting ahead of themselves down at the club.

We'll move on to next week and see how they respond, but thats 2 big losses and our % now back in the pack, could be telling later on.

We need to commit to having Miles in the team for a month so he can get back up to speed and dominate again.

Prestia needs a rest but can return alongside Miles.

Having 5 small forwards essentially means we have no plan B in games like this because they are all 1 dimensional.

I honestly don't understand why everyone is so pissed off. This is legitimately the LEAST pissed off I've been, honestly I wouldn't even say that I AM pissed off, I'm feeling very calm, and the reason is simple; this was CLEARLY an abberation.

I'd be far more worried if we lost another close game tbh, because that would show we weren't learning from mistakes.

Tonight we were just flat and played a team who brought out their best footy in about 10 years.

Mark this one off as a doozy, move onto the Lions next week, have a solid win against them and this one will be long forgotten imo.

We've shown enough this season to know that we're better than that.

We've done that in a final before. Not much this club hasn't done TBH

I'm happy to get that performance out of the way.

North Melbourne kicked 10.4.64 to 0.0.0 against Adelaide in the first quarter when they played.

No team, and I mean NO team, has been immune to a poor showing, and while it shouldn't be accepted by any means, what we've shown the other 4 months of footy has been very impressive stuff.

Honestly I don't mind Elton. He's no game breaker but his opponent doesn't hurt you like a Hunt or Morris opponent. Those 2 tools need to be retired ASAP. Liabilities 101 right there.

I might be way of the mark, but the few articles in the last month (and his wife's rant last year) plus his video a few days that was full on, pointing out his struggles last year sounded a lot like depression. Is their a chance he is still having issues? Some games he is outstanding with his on field leadership, and others like tonight he goes into his shell.
