The backline needs a mix up. We can’t continue to play all of McDonald, Ziebell and Corr. Young can play on talls and smalls. I’d also be inclined to give Goldy a rest and bring in Xerri, but historically X has struggled with the more athletic ruckman like Stanley.

I can understand the rationale of playing older players against Geelong and going full bore youth after that. As far as I can see the only value we’re getting from the older brigade is that they can soak up all the vitriol from us supporters. I’l love to see Cooper Harvey and Xerri in this week. However, the following week would be a much more palatable game to get introduced. The only certainty this week is that we will be melting down big time after the game. We’re way past accepting excuses. Jack, LMac, and Corr will once again be the butt of our ire - that’s a given. That’s their destiny/role now. It’s sad for Jack and LMac but it’s where we’re at.

Having said that, I sincerely hope the rabid rantings of BigFooty denizens play zero role in the thought processes of NMFC. Otherwise, we truly are cooked and we might as well fold our tent up.

I honestly think we will win against WCE, but not saints, tigers or GC, no way.

I'm usually a realist but after watching Saints and Hawks today I think we're a real chance against them both.
Tigers at MCG is probably a bit tough to win. If it was Marvel I'd probably have us a good chance.
GC is last round I believe so they might be thinking 1-2-3 Cancun if they aren't in the finals mix.
Saints are a bit of a false top 8 side imo. I rate the Cats, Giants and Crows above them but they might stay in because of their softer draw.

Thing is, we don’t bring any pressure and don’t lay enough tackles for the opposition to not take advantage.

Unfortunately we are easy beats. No one in the comp, even WC are scared what so ever to play against North RN.

They know even if they’re in bad form at least they can bring pressure against us and we will melt like butter. Too easy, no stress.

yes - there's a food truck setup inside the gate 5 entrance (basically behind Geelong cheer squad end) and the baked potato van is still there. However after paying $14 for a lukewarm potato still cold in the middle recently I'd suggest alternate options.

B: Bergman McKay Zurhaar // Bergman needs to work through his form, Zurhaar needs a bum kick, play on Rohan
HB: Young Logue LMac/Ziebell // Not a fan of Young but give him a shot, only one of LMac or Jack
C: Scott LDU Ford // Goater for the wing next week
HF: Sheezel CCJ TT // Sheez is a great player, but needs to work on his burst, think forward works better
F: Stephenson Larkey Harvey // Harvey for Curtis, Stephenson in just for some speed
Foll: Xerri Wardlaw Simpkin // Xerri gives us a little something
I/C: Shiels Powell Philips Goldy // Slow I/C, but not sure the options other than Spicer to offer at least some pace
