Not surprising, I know. But disappointing, nevertheless.

Harry may not be a great player forward of the centre. But he seems vastly preferable to me over any of the other available options we have for that role right now.

Could be seriously infuriating (yes, even more than usual) to see how easily the ball rebounds out of our F50 Saturday night.

The Dees have lost there best rebounding defender in Hibberd so i doubt it will come out that easy especially not at KP, we are pretty good at locking things down there.

but at this point do we know who is playing where? Is Hendo playing forward and Buzza out? Or Hendo down back and I don't know ...

will wait for the teams to come out before panicking

I'm not into panicking. Just commenting on what I see to be a serious deficiency for us at the moment.

And if Hendo is going to play forward, I see that as only marginally preferable to retaining Buzza.

Which, after his game last Thursday night, is seriously saying something.

I certainly hope you're right. Our narrow ground should definitely assist in this regard.

Henderson can actually take a mark which helps.

Sure. But he's been seriously underwhelming for us when thrown forward in the past.

And it would be another 'Cat classic' to have him work his way back through the twos for five games in the backline. Only to immediately throw him forward in the ones.

Even as a massive believer in the worth of Hendo as a player, I really hope it doesn't happen.

Scott: Hendo in, no Harry.
So does Hendo play forward or back? If he is playing back then is it Henry who is in trouble?

I'd seriously consider Smith to replace Buzza, with Smith playing predominately forward & Stanley starting ruck (a position he is starting to look consistent in). Having to compete against Gawn, I'd feel more comfortable with two genuine rucks meaning that Gawn really shouldn't get an easy 5 minutes each quarter playing against a make shift option from us

Yes but at the same time he hasn’t been thrown forward much at all while at Geelong, and when he has been it’s been when we may be losing by 30+ and change things up (That final quarter vs Richmond in 2016, plus the Swans Prelim in 2016 I remember but I’m sure he was pushed up forward in other games I just can’t remember).

While I agree I would definitely prefer Henderson down back, I’m not completely against seeing how he goes up forward when he plays an entire game there starting up forward, instead of being thrown up there when we’re already being smashed when it’s always going to be tough for him.

So yeah would prefer him down back, but wouldn’t completely dislike the move if he came in for Buzza there.

After watching the Buzza edits from last week, he's done IMO.

I really like the effort and work rate he brings but the depth perception issue has been given 12 months ( by me) to improve.

And from my couch, it aint gotten any better. There may be medical evidence to the contrary and if so thats great but the eye test of 120 mins lasst week didnt pass.

Gregson is also gone. Sad but fact.

The talk of Simpson being rubbish IMO is overstated. He will play and play well. I liked what I saw of him in the VFL over the last 5 weeks. Effort and skill was present and ran hard both ways.

Sounds like HT is out but Hendo is in. Id have Hendo back with Blitz.

Every game now is season defining.

Every 1/4 could be the last.

Play like it.

I'm not so sure about making so many changes to the team when we were pretty settled against Sydney. Although, I'd prefer Cunico to Murdoch.

Henderson forward > Buzza forward.

Of course.

But after last week's showing, you would have to suggest that we've just about come to...

'Anyone else on the list over 190 cm.' forward > Buzza forward.

I feel so despondent about the current available prospects to play KPF with Harry out that I would actually be happy to see either House or Gardner debut there, rather than using Smith or Hendo in that role.

When you're contemplating that sort of 'Hail Mary' approach, you know the supposedly 'safer' options aren't looking very promising.

But can't kick for goal

I’d rather him take the mark in the first place compared to Buzza. If that’s up the ground a bit like it was for a few of Buzza’s drops last week that means Henderson can then keep the ball moving inside 50 unlike Buzza who caused a turnover in the middle of the ground.

Is that changes from last week or from the round 1 match?

Parsons, Murdoch, Fogarty & Taylor didn't play last week, while Stanley, Cunico, Narkle, Henry & Danger didn't play round 1

No, that's the team I'd like to play this week agains Melbs.

I took the team that played Sydney, replacing Murdoch with Cunico.

We're at Rd18 now, so I think we need to get the team settled.

EDIT: Forgot Menzel, but don't know who goes out for him + I'd like Henry to stay in the team.

Don’t think we will see Henderson forward. Surely would have been in that role at VFL level if it was on the cards.
Who goes out for Henderson? Hopefully not Henry.

Kitty you might look at that side again, the ins are some already in and outs some already out and Menzel has disappeared into thin air.
