Yep.
Not to mention the outrage from the “Another meaningless win that will make us lose a draft spot” brigade.

Who would have been just as outraged if we had won.

Over the past few years I've tried to calm down a bit about stuff and appreciate OK we're rebuilding. But to watch the umpires gift Richmond a goal for dissent then ignore a series of Richmond players mouthing off filthily after every single decision just beggars belief. Yes we got run over by a more experienced side, but honestly when the AFL can't settle on a rule and enforce it evenly, they can get ****ed. I absolutely begrudge Richmond the win. Garbage.

Once again we don't slow the play when we have a lead. It's a legitimate problem and sure inexperience is a factor but it's happened a lot this year.

Also why was Lewis constantly up at the contest in the last 10 minutes so that when we did kick it long from a stoppage, Richmond just easily intercept.

This is a thoroughly disappointing loss because we should not lose that game from that position.

Tigers lucky, at least we keep pick 3
Nup - we deserved to lose because we shat the bed.

Sicily got away with frees which weren’t paid to Reiwoldt and played for one which wasn’t there. He was kissed on the dick by the umps in the last qtr - and we still lost.

Putting Day back as a spare was an odd move by Sam. Sent a message to the group that we were trying to save the game when we handed all momentum to Richmond.

Still - no doubt there will be plenty of “learnings”.

I'll caveat that with if not, then a great learning opportunity for a young team when dealing with a desperate opposition.

This one hurts, but if there is such a thing as a good painful lesson for a young team, this might be as good a painful lesson as you could hope for

At least it wasn't in a knockout final

Only negative was DBG. Otherwise we have an awesome upside. Win at this time of year is completely meaningless. In fact, we’re better off without the win.
Hard to make a case for DGB being AFL worthy. But aside from that I’m very pleased.

Relax Hawks fans. Tigers aren’t doing any damage this year and we need the draft picks.
