Went to the game - so was there for the false alarm evacuation :) - went 20 m and told to go back to seats. wouldn't need the interruption during a final.

Pies were always in control. Could have converted some more inside 50s but certainly look more poised and systematic.

Pies crowd has taken to Kreuger :)

Just great to be back at the G, on a gorgeous Melbourne day!!
Thought the 1st and 3rd quarters were very good by us, l thought some of the lads had heavy legs in the last.
Good to see the performances of the younger boys, Henry (miraculous goal), McCreery (great forward pressure), thought Ginnivan was good at times, eventhough he should have had the running shot at goal in the last, Krueger looked good before popping his shoulder and N Daicos was serviceable in his second game.
Liked the clearance work of DeGoey, Adams and Crisp ( BOG), and thought the other Daicos (Josh 😊) was very good today. Lipinski, a great addition to this side, so happy the Pies got him to the club. The backline again, led by Pendles ( great move to HB), Moore and Quaynor today, was solid. Maynard will be a welcome inclusion next week against the Cats, whether that be in the back six or midfield...
Great to be 2-0, considering the HS had us predicted to be 0-4 after the first month of the season!!

Take that. Still a fair way off optimum but you can see the potential. Geelong next weekend a tougher challenge.

Hopefully Kreuger’s shoulder is not too serious as that be disappointing. He had an impact in his debut in a Pies jumper.

Loving the impact the <50 gamer’s are having.

Happy with that good team effort.
Positive is no stars really dominated but lots of contributors. There is good improvement to come from this game
I feel like this two games have now been warm ups as Geelong will be a step up in class hopefully we can send them back to the retirement village next week.
Lets hope the women do a seabiscuit against the bears and our twos do well tomorrow.

Great game, very even contribution.

Hope Sonia's shoulder isnt too bad as he looked good, vreat presence and a beuatiful kick on him.

Ginni, Beau and Henry great buzzing around up forward.

Already just expect Nick to have 20+ and set us up across HB.

Sidey with some great effort for a change.

Good to have such a strong performance when we didnt get much from Grundy or Adams.

Top of the ladder 👍

Our players look trimmer, but broader across the shoulders. Some of that will be nature development in the younger players, but credit also has to go to Wade. So far I’m liking that appointment.

We are def more appealing to the eye.

Shame Tyler Brown not up to it...I wish he was

Go pies

Lot of positives out of today. Lot of mistakes and ugly footy at times but that will happen.

Some perspective that we’ve played two bottom 8 teams, so some talk of finals in the other thread is a little premature. Big test next week will see where we fall in the pecking order.

Devo about kreuger… structurally we are already a lot weaker without him.

Haven't seen Kreuger injury but best case is a low grade AC tear and just a few weeks out. But we'll assume shoulder reco for now.

It won’t be AC, there was no AC mechanism there.

Keays is a pretty decent player. It's Matt Crouch that does zero damage. Nothing but an accumulator.
McCreery seeks to intimidate - that not only wins the first contest but it leaves an impression on the mind of the beaten opponent and those that witness it.

Destroy the opponent in the first contest and you have that opponent halfway beaten before every succeeding contest.

I'm not going to be stupid and predict a flag or finals (we could make finals, you never know) but DAMN is this team fun to watch.

Classy goals, direct footy down the middle, brutal pressure. We'll be hard to beat against anybody if we maintain the pressure, Elliot and McCreery have been wrecking balls this year.

Some of the young players have a ton of swag. It was the girlfriends first game today and had a blast.

100 points two weeks running, admittedly not against great opposition, but still extremely encouraging. Backing up the scoring free for all in the first half of the practice game against the Hawks - it was not a complete mirage. Spread of goal kickers is also very reminiscent of 2018.

When I originally saw this post I thought to myself "I must be getting dementia, I cannot for the life of me remember writing this", then read your name.
