News Flash , if he had any semblance of integrity, he would say to the club ,” let’s sit down and re-negotiate why contract , my output and effectiveness does not warrant it “ . but we know that ain’t gonna happen , as he is full of himself
You’re kidding yourself. If you could get the best deal possible from your employer for your work you’d take every cent. Grundy got a great deal for himself and the club were silly enough to pay it, I say we’ll done Broady. He does a great job as our ruckman, not worth $1 mill but make the money while you can. Take it up with whoever signed off on the deal.

I really wish people would stop crapping on about salary packages after every single match review.

News alert. It is what it is. And it doesn’t change midseason.
And lets face it, contracts are based on predictions of future performance - they are always going to get some wrong. And whilst he's obviously currently being overpaid relative to performance, many seem to forget that he was probably the most underpaid relative to performance in 2018 and 2019.

McCreery can handle it at the level.
WHE much better under this gameplan, and he put his head over it.
Wings look settled with J Daicos and WHE with Sidey fwd - all were good
JDG looks much better just focusing on doing the basics and not trying to overdo it, hes starting to look like a week in week out footballer
We are so much better out of centre bounces this year its not funny (excpet for not understanding 666 rule)
and i dont care how good we are, at least we are fun to watch now
Sidey played wing all game

Maybe but it changes expectations of players. You can't play out your career being paid a million a year at the level of a player earning half your salary without expecting to cop a bit of flak.

Henry will be a star. He could have kicked 4 today, and with the way he build confidence with his hands, I truly believe we have a Gunston quality player here.

Think people are harsh on Brown. Don't think his game was that bad, rather they were looking for faults. He brings really good pressure. He didn't have a big impact but some people would have it he was spudding it up every time he went near.

Gini and Mcreery are legends. There seems to be some real buzz in the forward line in the way they get around each other and celebrate goals.

Every single match review thread the same repetitive crap comes up

Wanting a player to fail so you're proven right is a bit shit. Especially when that player plays for the team you support.
And has been such a magnificent servant of the club, who according to rumours has historically always played for unders. He's got his verve back which he lost briefly and we're so much better for it.

That's great for Grundy, and anyone would be happy to get far more from an employer than they are worth or will produce. Doesn't mean that fellow employees are not going to grumble that their colleague is undeserving of such rich rewards, nor in Grundy's case, that supporters are going to remain silent for 7 years while he produces nothing more than a half decent ruck is capable of doing.

The game plan under McRae and his assistants has been a revelation. It's fast, direct and clinical when it comes off beautifully. That's been the most enjoyable aspect of watching the team so far this year.
Not sure that the game plan is a "revelation". It reminds me greatly of how the team played in 2018 and much of 2019 and how Richmond played during their premiership years";)
It's certainly different to 2020 and 2021 (the Covid hub years), which I suspect is due to a number of factors.
Agree that it's certainly interesting and exciting to watch!! 👏

Can’t name one , as every million dollar franchise player delivers , unlike our bubble boy
It’s a long season, and ruck is a hard position to play at, let see how he is towards the season end first before sticking the boots in.
Td can com firm l am not one of his biggest fans, but l think at the time he did deserve his contract.

Maybe "revelation" was a strong characterisation :p

Though I think the reason for me describing it as such is because it's vastly different to what we were accustomed to under Buckley for the majority of his tenure, with 2018 being the exception.

Even Buckley said during the game our movement was like the 18/19 pies. Trying to plug himself a little… my immediate thoughts were, why did you change bucks.
We should leave Bucks out of this.
Two games into the season we are looking good.
Big difference to making the grand final.

We are the employer , the supporters , the members , who put their hard earned money towards our club and its players , he put his hand up and demanded that contract , and as a collective , he needs to back it up by delivering to justify his performance and what he produces. He stuck his hand out , he needs to put his hands up and earn it , if not , he is open to be called out , We are the employer

You’re one of those guys who acts like a dick towards waiters and retail workers because you ‘pay their wage’ aren’t you?

Disagree about 2019. We crabbed it that year.
