Wonder if the team is young enough for people now & enough kids being played!

Newnes – 0
Milera – 1
Simpkin – 2
Ledger – 2
Ledger – 2
Cripps – 5
Stanley – 10

Then theres these guys under 54 games.

Steven – 31
Armitage – 51
Geary – 53
McEvoy – 54

Thats 11 of 22 that have less then 54 games experience

other then the fact that you have ledger in twice. i think its great.

11 out of 22 players under 60 games, is quite alot. and against GC thats what we should be doing. Unlike last last year against Gold coast.

for that game, most people were quite upset with lyon that both walsh and lynch did not get into the team.

Really exciting. Whether we win or not is almost irrelevant to me these days, it's just nice to see these young guys given a go.

Pretty tallish backline with both Blake and Simpkin in there. Wonder if there'll be a late change?

Wasn't Riewoldt suspended for the Gold Coast game last year? Back to this team, it's very inexperienced but I much prefer it to last weeks team.

You're right, im not having a good run lately. :D

Lynch for Riewoldt was the change.

Reckon the sub will come down to Armo and Newnes, not really a fan of debutants running on for their first go when the game is hot though.

changes this week look good.. at least theres something else to look forward to rather than just winning.. really hope the youngsters tear it up!!

Given one of the main complaints about last weekend (other than the umpiring) was the contested ball, Newnes might very well get a shot this week. He and Ledge are the best candidates in that category by quite a distance,
Is he good in that area? I thought he was better known for his run and carry and kicking?

Expecting Kosi to kick 5 in the first quarter in this game... and therefore 5 for the match.
I LOLed!

Newnes has been playing off half back (haven't seen him on ball at all). Despite being impressed, I'm surprised they've picked him (as he's very slight). Although I guess a game against one of the less experienced teams might be the thinking.

Quite unobtrusive (he's not a dasher), just does a job and accumulates possessions. Haven't really noticed him make an obvious mistake yet (in when to mark, punch, tackle etc) which is remarkable for a first year player. Includes his kicking - consistently hits it clean and seems to make good decisions under pressure. This will be a big step up and fascinating to see whether he adjusts just as quickly (as he has from U18 to VFL).

If we loose this game?? where does it leave us for the future and for watters??
and if riewoldt cant make an impact is it too early to say his best is well past and he cant handle the modern game???

Any crowd predictions? Easter Sunday + worst timeslot + 0 opposition supporters + bad loss.

Cracking 20 thou would be an achievement.

17,764 i reckon. Going to be piss poor turnout.
