This may be just wishful thinking, but I'm wondering if this is the week Vez will get thrown a lifeline. McGlynn out and Moore a chance of being rested, Vez is the ideal replacement as the small, skilful forward.

If we're going to get the chance to see him again this season in seniors, the cards have fallen for him this week.

I got the impression Rohan was being given an education in the backline earlier, but obviously his form in twos demands serious consideration.

I just had a feeling Vez might get a shot ...

Let's face facts.

In a transitional year, Vezpremi had his chance to step up and stake a claim.

He has failed to do so. This means he (1) has not done what was needed to succeed (espec, fitness) or (2) he has committed to the GC Suns.

Either way - there are 1st year players who have easily outshone him - so, he needs a big stroll through the room of mirrors.

We won't see Vez again this year - maybe never again.

Can we pleaseeeeeeee get over playing Vesz, we have other youngsters too you know..

as predicted smith & rohan the inclusions...

good to see vesz in the emergencies...i guess the lesson he should take out of 2010 is that he needs to do alot more over the preseason and really give 2011 everything he's got...otherwise it's the scrap heap...

hopefully he really puts in the hard yards and comes back in 2011 bigger and better than ever...he could come back a gun...if this doesn't spur him into action he really doesn't have what it takes to be an AFL player...i'm still backing him tho

While I agree that we probably won't see him again, I think the above is harsh. He only played 1 game and was pretty good IMO, didn't have much chance to shine.

Thanks mate.

umad? The Swans are playing!!!

P.S. I don't drink.

No water or food, umad? lol

What about your phone, if some bloke comes into your house and steals your television and your computer and runs away, will you go running for your phone? Or will you make chase and then run out of gas because you have no nutrients and then go crawling to a payphone? lol always wondered those things about the 40hr famine lol

Some Potential Matchups:

White vs Lake (if he is a late withdrawal Williams will get Jesse)
TDL vs Gilbee
Jetta vs Harbrow
Rohan vs Hargrave
Goodes vs Morris (when Goodesy is forward)
Bevan vs Murphy (don't think this will happen but would like to see Bevo play the defensive forward role on Murphy who is very dangerous with time and space off HB)

Goodes vs ?? (not sure about his midfield matchup)
Kirk vs Cross
Bolton vs Boyd
Jack vs Cooney
McVeigh vs Picken
Ward vs Hannebery (i think McVeigh and Hanners will get tagged by these 2 one way or the other)
ROK vs Griffen (ROK to continue his solid run with form)

Grundy vs Hall
Richards vs Jones
Mattner vs Grant
Bevan vs Hahn (concerned very much about Hahn, hasn't played in the AFL much lately but he often plays well against us and played really well last week, should be too big and strong for Bevo if isolated)
Shaw vs Eagleton (battle of the balds)
Smith vs Giansiracusa
