Nope. We all know he can do it at VFL level. When he does it in the seniors people will shut up and be very happy. One to shut the critics up. He can still make it.

All in or all out Murph. He is delaying the inevitable because I think in his heart of hearts he knows he is done. How do you change the way you play to avoid concussions? The one on grand final day was from a normal contest and spilt mark.Murphy needs a nudge, either to get out on the ground and play or resign. This 'getting your head right' stuff is going on far too long. If he won't even train with the players, what hope has he of ever playing another game? I love the guy, but enough is enough. Anything that forces a decision out of him is fine by me.
Hutchinson, Glover, Dowling, Long, Silvagni, Sof to name a few are tall. Farrant is another name but you may not have heard of him. He's playing local in the short term to trim down but should feature later.
We don't have rucks because list spots are limited and it's rare to have both out.
Who plays on any given week comes down to injuries and who out of the AFL list is playing. Some players aren't needed every week even if they're ahead of others.
Having Eyre and Steene back soon hopefully will help. SOF was “playing kinda tall” as wellI don't know Dowling. Silvagni is the only "tall" on that list - is he injured?
I meant just the vfl listed. It's all third talls and mids.Having Eyre and Steene back soon hopefully will help. SOF was “playing kinda tall” as well
Ah yes. Good pointI meant just the vfl listed. It's all third talls and mids.
JC unfortunately has poor decision making and disposal when playing as a mid.
Why haven't we got a tall amongst our VFL listed players?
So your solution to his mental health issues, and using vernacular common to the past, would be tell him to “to snap the f@ck out of it”.Murphy needs a nudge, either to get out on the ground and play or resign. Johnson looked a step off senior level so he goes back to the VFL where he now looks a step behind there too.Every game is an almost game from Johnson. If only he didn't fumble, if only he held his marks, if only he kicked his goals, if only he applied defensive pressure.
Yep, this. Broke even in terms of impact I thought.I thought he had a strong game, while didn't win the ruck battle, but makes up for it in his contest and ground level stuff.

Mind boggling!!
A couple of posters on here are bordering on an obsessive mental illness of their own in relation to Murphy & a decision he is entitled to make when he's ready. So your solution to his mental health issues, and using vernacular common to the past, would be tell him to “to snap the f@ck out of it”.

Begg had a good VFL game, but it also emphasised how far away he is from AFL.Strange write up. Begg was a large part why this game was so close. He was soundly beaten in the ruck, and spent half the day on the ground. Losing steene after about 5minutes was very costly
I am surprised Ed Allan got 23 disposals. I missed the last quarter. He must have got half of them then. I liked him at times last year, but this year he does not seem to have stepped up at all.
Aiden Begg 'played a big role'? As what? The only player capable of playing ruck and being smashed due to his lack of height?
Brayshaw made some changes in 2017 which gave him another 5 or 6 years. All in or all out Murph. He is delaying the inevitable because I think in his heart of hearts he knows he is done. How do you change the way you play to avoid concussions? The one on grand final day was from a normal contest and spilt mark.
Different positions, and given the role Murphy plays, you can't stop contact. Like he can easily get a knock to the back of the head in a contest and would be lights out.Brayshaw made some changes in 2017 which gave him another 5 or 6 years.
I believe he took time off in 2017 to focus on building up the muscles around his neck and changed the way he attacked the footy.
Boston Dowling is 200cm+ and a part of Oakleigh so not always playing. I can’t tell you about Silvagni but I hope he plays soon.I don't know Dowling. Silvagni is the only "tall" on that list - is he injured?
yep bulk up to play truly inside & also drink way more caffeine to fire a couple of fast twitch fibres ..just lacks pingGood game. Clean hands and quicker thinker than most of those guys. Physical traits remain a worry. He needs to bulk up.
It is who we have. The salary cap means everyone is not going to be on $500k.Too early to say never. Some players haven’t even started their careers at his age.
His development at AFL level has been limited. With more time, he will improve.
Any game highlight’s available?
Dunno what game you were watching, but Allan was solid all game I thought. and no he didn’t get half of them in the last quarter, he had 8 disposals in the first quarter alone.I am surprised Ed Allan got 23 disposals. I missed the last quarter. He must have got half of them then. I liked him at times last year, but this year he does not seem to have stepped up at all.

Allan did have a big last quarter, he was involved a fair bitI am surprised Ed Allan got 23 disposals. I missed the last quarter. He must have got half of them then. I liked him at times last year, but this year he does not seem to have stepped up at all.
