Fev maybe out, was on crutches in the news. Yarran is he a chance or not? Comes in for Garlett? Stevens? Grigg?. Garlett did some nice things but maybe it's time for him to get some confidence in the reserves, Grigg has to come back in not too worried about Stevo.

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

I'd bring in Yarran for Garlett.

I'm a fan of Garlett already, but I reckon he could do with a rest with that light body of his and it would be good to give Yarran a go.

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

Stevens will come in at who's expense? Carlos will come in for Jammo. We need a fast team to take on the Bombers as they killed us in that department last year. Joseph needs to stay in to tag Lovett.

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

Yeah I agree with you, love Garlett but I think he needs rest. Let him play in the reserves. He has had a taste of it now and knows what he needs to do, but yeah he has been impressive for us.

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

Fev's not going to miss this.

And I'm with you BlueSnake

Yarran For Garlett, and that's not saying Garlett's done anything wrong. But I just think with Yarran he's impressed in the praccy match with the Ants and he can do what Garlett's done better.

Stevens for someone possibly Jamo if the MC decide not to go Carlos or AJ but reckon AJ would be pretty bloody stiff not to get a nod.

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

I want Grigg in the side, he has pace and is tough as they come. Stevo on the other hand is a soft outside player. I would pick Grigg over Stevens, let Stevens come in through the reserves just like everyone else.

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

Stevo will definitely play this week. No if, but's or maybe's.

Denis Pagan said Mark Austin should replace Jamison

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

Don't wanna take this too OT, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows how Yarran's been playing?

I heard they are impressed with some of his work, but I'm just wondering whether he was playing midfield or whether he was forward and kicking some goals (or both maybe).

You've probably got an agenda on Stevo as I'm sure most people do but you can't ignore the quality that he brings in. He'll play and ordinarly Grigg should play but for whom will be a hard call.

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

I think with Stevens in Russell may be a chance to miss, also we need some pace in the line up.

I think Waite and Thornton can handle the Lloyds and Lucas's but Essendon have pace, so it might not be too much to someone like an Armfield coming in for Jamison.

I think having 3 crumbers in the forward line eg, Garlett, Betts and Yarran could be special.

And we need to keep Garlett, Robinson and Joseph in to introduce them to the hate we have for Essendon.

And Grigg deserves a spot too!

With Essendon we may not need too many talls either up forward so one of Cloke or Wiggins may miss just for team balance.

I think.

outs - Jamison (inj), Russell, Wiggins
in - Stevens, Grigg, Armfield

edit: I think we should introduce Yarran to AFL when we play the Filth!

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

Yarran played very well yesterday, reckon he looked very classy and is maybe ready to step into the big time.

Why would you drop Wiggins? I think he has done well last two weeks? And he gives us hardness around the forward line as well.

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

stevo is a definate to play so i think he will replace garlett just to give his body a rest
does anyone no how grigg went in the bullants??
if he played well i think he will come in for jamison instaed of another defender because i dont rate essondons foward line
weve still got waite who will play on lloyd if he plys up the ground
bower will play on lucas
who r the other essedons fowards

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

If the MC don't bring Carlos in, we'll have to give big jobs to Waite, Bower and Thornton. Watching todays game, Lloyd didn't spend anywhere near as much time at FF, and even found himself taking marks accross HB.

I also don't think that Essendon will play 4 talls in the F50 at once, so you would have to think that these 3 boys will be able to cope with Essendons fowards.

With this in mind, perhaps a tall replace Jamo isn't as obvious as we think, and perhaps the club will look to quick players to come into the team - therefore an Armfield might come in.

Stevens will come in, no worries about that. The only question will he be the only change, or will someone else make way.

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

Does anyone know whats going on with Armfield and Browne?

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

I can definitely see a small for jamo. Stevens and grigg must be ins, yarran wassnt bog and can wait. For jamo i would go for banno as mentioned on another thread or possibly army/browne to run with whichever of davey/lovett AJ doesnt get.

outs...again impossible. If im harsh one of jacobs and cloke could go to bring in another mid. Purely because its essendon though and i cant find a spot for grigg (ie. defensive flanker) so he must play mid. I think garletts pressure will be needed, as is joseph (obviously). Maybe johnson could go for stevo, with scotty returning to his HB role rather than more wing

summary:

OUT: cloke/jacobs, jamo, johnson

IN: grigg, banno/army, stevo

Disclaimer: Grigg/stevo must be in due to form and reputation (respectively). Therefore other form players might have to makeway to ensure matchups

Re: Round 3:- Changes against Essendon?

^^^ No way man, I disagree with those selections/outs.
