Re: RD 3 Teams:- Blues v Bombers

And how many of JR's 22 disposals were clangers?

4.

The same number of clangers Judd racked up in the same game.

Judd efficiency: 25 Possessions at 80%
JR efficiency: 22 Possessions at77%

JR did the Job. Get off his back.

Scotland looked underdone and Stevens plays a similar role.

Fair selection.

those stats are a load of shit! watch the third quarter he had about 5 direct turnovers via hand in the space of about 5-6 minutes. Stats are always good to read but in reality you need to watch the game...

additionally judd's possessions were within a pack when you feed out to players like JR who are meant to be at the back of the pack and they arent there what are you meant to do?

We will see how JR goes tonight. Although I must admit he does do a good stopping/tagger role and he is pretty quick. We need a couple of taggers who can shut down the opposition, and with AJ in thee as well it's looking good.

The same third quarter where virtually all our players went missing? You pinning the blame on JR for this?

So now Judd's clangers were due to JR not being in the right spot to receive them????

Its Russells fault that Judd missed him?

way to take everything out of context!...

I was merely pointing out the inaccuracy of the stats, actually more questioning the definition of a clanger as it was very clear that JR made more than 4 clangers in that 3rd quarter... just to clear it up for you so dont take it out of context again... disregard everyone other player at this point...

If you notice I said players such as JR... namely JR, simpson, scotland etc, these players are meant to be running off the back of the square to receive that hand ball out the back of the pack... do yourself a favour get to the game early and watch the pre match drills... the guys at the back of the square run off to receive the fed out hand ball... it enables the battling "in" midfielders like judd a place to put the ball in knowing that a player in navy blue should be there... on numerous occasions these receiving players werent there and judd, hadley, murphy etc etc's handballs ended up in opposition players hands...

Now that it is all clear... i am hoping you were merely being a smart ass as if you missed all that I worry...

What will Grigg's role be tonight? Is he going to play through the center? Or will be rotate off the bench and help out Stevens?

Re: RD 3 Teams:- Blues v Bombers

I dont want to get into a pissing match about JR's role in the team. Im not a coach nor am I on the match committee.

It just blows me away the number of people wanting him dropped based on the game vs Brisbane.

Based on the game I watched, JR was solid. He is improving by the week and does not deserve to get dropped based on his form this year.

He's vulnerable in this current squad though (make no mistake about it). One or two poor games in a row and you will see him dropped.

Bower got towelled up. Was outmuscled and outplayed. But he was never going to miss. A repeat performance or two may see him in strife when Jamo's back.

Scotland was clearly underdone, plays a similar role to Stevens and was the obvious choice to make way for Stevo.

Well big game for us this one. We win we are 3 - 0 we loose 2 - 1 and maybe a loss next week in Sydney. Then we have the Dogs and it could be 3 - 3 at round 6. We have a hard run from now on in, we need to be at least 5 - 3 after round eight, that would be a good start.

I agree . . with sydney away, the dogs and hawthorn our next 3 matches, it is extremely important to get a win over the bombers tonight . . .

we then have collingwood round 8 . . . so its not an easy run.
