It's always hard to drop blokes when you are winning but the fact is we've had a very good draw and losses will come soon.

Once they do it will be easier to find players to make way for our better ones coming back

No issue with Clark and Billings coming back through the 2's to get match fit but both are best 22 when the whips are cracking

Webster - Long is what I had.
Being at the game today I thought Long was good, havent watched replay yet

I probably would have agreed with you 3 weeks ago. Very hard to drop him based off Richmond/Hawthorn/Gold coast

Was very good today. Especially in close. His tackle (third quarter?) shifted momentum too. They were out.

D-Mac racked up his highest career disposal game today, handy man to have around
Hes one of the best wingers going around right now. Unbelievable the impact hes having when it matters and the ground he covers.

Wood has been pretty good but Billings plays essentially the same role better.
Just about to say the same.

Coincidence that some whipping boy are going well
DMAC
Hill
Long
even Seb?

It is because some of these players are cream to a good team. DMAC and Long are playing Career best football. Seb an integral part of the mids.
Hill is the cream outside player in an up and going team.
I have absolutely no doubt Jack Billings will be the same.
Reckon Hill to a wing and Billings to a HF. Wood stiff.

opposition worry about where he is, he likes to hurt
Start of the year didn't think he would play much but been very good last 3 weeks

Billings is best 22 when fit and in decent form.

At the moment they need to get his body right and he needs at the very least one game at Sandy. Probably more.
No need to rush him in.

Same with Clark and Jones.

really like Hill at the high HF perfect spot for him

1. No way am I dropping Long. He is back to his 2020 best but has done it at either end so far. Very very good today and we have a number of players who are able to move any direction off a step rather then straight line running - one of which is longy.

2. Billings can be the medical sub. NWM does more with 15 touches.
1000x this. Absolutely bang on.

B Long

Career-high 20 disposals
85% DE
Just 1 turnover
Game-high 9 intercept possessions

Playing with great energy, maturity and confidence this year. 💪
Just shows not all players turn it on at a young age - McKenzie , Wilkie , Lienert , Wood and now Long are showing it.
It also could be the belief the coaches instill in them which will be a huge benefit for our younger recruits.

It bits of form like the last 3 games and you completely understand why Essendon and Melbourne have gone hard for him in 2 trade periods now.

Again, it’s about consistency.

Yes well I wanted Campbell over Hayes today so you can't tell how I go in selections
I love that Hayes reminds me of the gun suburban footballer. Just does all the dirty stuff. Seeks no praise. Doesn’t over think in the moments. Happy to throw himself in the way of danger with no care in the world.

Makes a few AFL footballers who have come through the “pathway” look silly.
