Why would you put Windy on anyone, bugger that, put him on the ball like a junkyard dog in a butcher shop and tell him to get it as many bloody times as he can and light it up in a forward offensive moving direction and let GWS put someone on him.

About time we found a weapon in the midfield because his game against the Pies was electric and inventive and he hunted the ball relentlessly, we need to get him to repeat that as many times as possible over the next ten years. He's not a bloody tagger

The Giants have had a fairly soft draw so far. Last three games West Coast, North and the Suns who made 7 changes.

Just looking at the stats from their last game, their midfield isn't exactly cooking.

I dunno, I just feel like we can do this. Would certainly kick our season into gear if we could.
Are you drinking on a school night

I've got a horrible feeling that Toby Greene will tear us a new one like Bolton did regardless of who we play on him.

It would have been nice if he copped a week's suspension like Baker did last week but we weren't going to be that lucky 2 weeks in a row.
I don't mind Greene going apeshit if we still get to win. Ross doesn't give a monkey's, either.

Let their heroes draw play to them, we'll cut off 50% and beat them on the rebound.

I got a shiraz delivered earlier, you have a problem with drinking on a Tuesday whilst thinking a 50/50 game is winnable?
Before 12pm?

If this weeks game is 50/50 then pass me another tequila shot while I call the bank manager and transfer 100k into my Spodtsbet account.

With the elimination final fresh in our clubs mind.

I can’t imagine we drop our best pressure small for another tall against the side that moves like a jaguar at lunch time.
Yep, this kind of fast movement is difficult for us to stop, we got absolutely monstered when Richmond punched us in the first quarter. We can't afford to start anything less than fully primed and switched on

A team with King, Higgins and Membrey can win any game.
We'll need to get a lot right and have players working for the full four quarters.
But no way should we be without hope.

Stocker played well for us, and over 4 quarters too.
RTB even mentioned him in the presser ( unless it was last weeks, I can’t remember).
But he was hard on him last year, and it appears things have changed. Cannot see him being the sub at all.

I’m getting in early - & I hate being negative! - but we are severely undermanned and I think GWS will be there in the last Saturday in September - I’m expecting RTB to try and contain the damage and I don’t think it’s realistic to expect much else.

Hopefully some of our young guys stand up against a very experienced and slick outfit.

When we get something like our best 22 on the park I think we can be competitive against this mob.
Pray for rain? Make it more of a slog.

Fair enough - the whole selection this week is problematic. Half our side will be like panicked house cats - by the same argument. Recall how RTB said Pou was "like a lost puppy" or something like that, in the middle. Can't see Hastie or anyone else not in the 22 - other than Windy - making at impact. They look close to flag favourites so far, but I am happy it is at Manuka.
Cordy also had a mare.
They regretted not bringing Doogs back.
Hopefully he’s not scarred.

We have had a strange (occasional) habit of beating the eventual premiers during the H&A season recently. Can't be bothered looking it up
Last year and the Cats the year before if I remember correctly.

We lost to Collingwood last year though? Not by much but still lost.

The match that got the meme going was us monstering Richmond in mid 2017.
Oops. Memory issues obviously.

Ross Lyon literally praised Stocker for his 2nd half role on Bolton but yes, drop him for a teenage midfield debutant to play on Toby Greene and Callum Brown next week
I didn't state that Garcia would play on Greene haha. Actually suggested Windhager could in one of my posts.

I’ve seen some silly things in my time here, but dropping our only small to medium defender really takes the cake
Silly thing is, that your somehow forgetting Sinclair, or are you seeing him as a permanant mid. now? And my suggestion that Windhager 185cm for Stocker 184cm is truly annoying some people, takes my cake?
