I tell you what, Jonas let a few get past him early but after that he was a brick sh*thouse for the rest of the day. Stood tall in the last and lead the team to victory.

My captain Tommy.
He and McKenzie were Rance like. Enormous games. Hartlett, DBJ, Mayes and Burton before injured too.

Ran shouting through the house when Robbie kicked that goal! What a bloody finish!
Makes 2 of us lol. What a game!
While I'm here Butters' goal line mark underrated. Him not being there and we have an L to our name.

I cannot tell if Carlton are good, I feel the score was very flattering as we had the method wrong from the start (our press was disastrous and just leaked goals), missed simple setshots and also a good chunk of their goals were bullshit near the boundary angle ones.

We didn't give up. We did mistake after mistake, we lost three players, but we didn't let our heads go down. We kept it going. That's heart. It wasn't pretty, but I loved it!

In terms of a spectacle, that game is an amazing advertisement for our sport.

This win would not have even happened had Zac Butters not taken that goal saving mark on the line before distributing with an intelligence well beyond his years.

He was also the start of the final winning push into attack. Killer player. Incredible club man. Just what you need around a developing squad.

Game on the line everyone knows Carlton’s game plan is Patrick Cripps. I’m not sure it would be by design that Butters had that match up for the last 5 minutes. He got the job done. Massive.
