Only if this instills the believe within us that WE ARE PORT ADELAIDE. This is the win great teams use to propel their next 5 years, we tried so hard to botch it, now we have and got away with it hopefully this alleviates the pressure so many of our blokes hold with them when kicking a set shot.

Considering everything that suggested we should have lost, we may well look back at today rather fondly:

* Flying to Brisbane hours before the game, to meet an in form opponent
* Injuries to key personnel late in the game
* We would have lost that every year for the last 5 years (or more)

This team may finally be coming of age.

Westhoffs whole game today is the worst thing I’ve seen in football.

He woke up in the last few minutes, but that was it.

Actually had two very important contests in the closing minutes.

Should we have won this by more ....definitely. We wasted quite a few chances.
But in the last few years we would have been heads down and lost it every time.

Some outstanding efforts but to me Jonas was outstanding. Slow to start but was great for the majority of the game.
Dixon was out on his feet at the end. Still misses some but if he keeps playing games like today they’ll come.
Butters does so many smart things, and he has that bit of niggle.
Ladhams was very good. His work around the ground and his skills for a big guy stand out.
If Mayes can consistently play like today we hopefully don’t see Bonner again.
Robbie Gray... what to say. The class eventually outweighed his form. At times you think the game has past him by then he gets a few deft touches and a match winning goal.
