Considering our injuries, it was a good result I guess, but the Saints did themselves no favours by playing a pedestrian brand of footy when we were down for the count.

The Positives

Jase Burgoyne - your dad would be proud mate.
Ollie Wines - best game for quite a while.
Jordan Sweet - more then held his own against one of the competition’s elite ruckman.
JHF - Quiet in parts, but all class when it mattered. Just an unbelievable talent.
Drew - Not sure what happened last week, but back to his best tonight.
Butters - Got better as the game went on, really stepped up when Rozee went down
Esava - Horrible 1st half, but turned it around in AAs absence.
BZT - great last quarter, single handedly repelling multiple St Kilda attacks.
Dixon - Our best forward by a mile, presented well & kicked accurately.

The Negatives

Saint Kilda aren’t that good
Injuries & more injuries
LOL goal kicking
Todd Marshmellow, who looks like Daniel Stewart reincarnated

The definition of a phyrric victory.

Early misses meant we had to make players work harder, which resulted in twangs and bumps that needn’t have happened.

At least we won it, would have been a horrendous night to lose as well.

Got more enjoyment watching A6s at THE FARM Yesterday, and we lost.

Todd Marshall is not Daniel Stewart.

Once, maybe twice a game, you could rely on Stewart to take a ridiculous contested mark against the odds, even if it was the only thing he did for the game.

I haven't seen Marshall take any marks like that.

Although not our worst, Boak is playing to his age more and more. We seemed to kick to him a lot tonight including when outnumbered. He just can’t chase effectively anymore to close down opponents. His good still outweighs the bad, but once the opposition wins the ball off him, it seems like an easy escape too often.
