last year it was more his running patterns. First praccy, Carlton blocked him off the ball at every opportunity so the coaches believed he had been scouted in the pre season to get a hold of his positional play. Physically he had only one preseason and struggled a bit at VFL level.
Early preseason, I was wonder Who TF was this cousin Greg character absolutely burning off everyone during the 400 repeat sprints, then it twigged. he looked physically different in the face and upper body. Only one looking more chiseled was Mason Wood.
On the weekend he looked so much more at home in the AFL than at any other time, seemed to do much more running,(half forward flank?). Someone said he is being groomed for the Mason Wood role, seems like it. They have identified his tank and looks like they have found his position. The Saints are after versatile players not one position players and Coops is getting used to other roles than just forward.
Nearly every player in the afl plays 2s at some point, it'd be ridiculous to think someone's going to take him out coz it's Max King and he is too good for the 2nds. Surprised Nat Fyfe came out with his limbs attached playing in the wafl last yearNot really, at Sandy he won't get much of a look and he is going to have sub par defenders just trying to take him out..may as well get him match fit in the ones

If richo dont get you Ratts willI reckon he's hardly played a below average game. He was a sub for a few but otherwise he's looked at home forward, back and has even had to chop out ruck. He must train poorly or not listen because performance wise he looks good IMO. The only thing stopping him from going at well over a goal a game has been moving him out of the forward line.
Good summary. I'd still probably put the Swans in that pool you've listed together with us. They are too good and resilient not to hit back.
I'm a big Members fan, but on selection integrity he'd have to be the one out if we needed to bring 1 in. He has been off the pace and there is nothing wrong with finding form in the 2s and coming in hungry and ready to tear a game apart. In saying that I feel the coaches want to have a steady ship and not have too many changes, which is also understandable bedding in a new game plan that is light years ahead of what they are used toBe interesting to see if selection integrity is backed up.
Yep - thats the thing.
You can mount a case for all of King, Membrey, Caminiti, Sharman, Phillipou, Owens to be selected but in reality there is only 4 spots available.
Owens is a lock and if King is fit, there will be a couple of players who have to miss out.
Could be any of the four - although I'm not convinced they will go with King this week.
King, Sharman, Caminiti and Membrey in the same line up is too tallWe can fit 5 of those in if Owens plays midfield
Hearing that there's paramedics on site at the Pou residence in case he falls into a coma live on air. Way past his bed time!Looks like someone reading some of George posting
Your posting was up there too, glad to see you've done your bit latelyIf richo dont get you Ratts will
Our development has been putrid the only thing holding him back was our coaches
Just here for the people sharing my knowledgeYour posting was up there too, glad to see you've done your bit lately
Which coach is charge of efficiency inside 50 Harves ? wonder if he is feeling any heat from RTB yetRTB has acknowledged that efficiency from inside 50s is an issue. Despite our early season form it was also an issue when Hammer was playing. I reckon RTB is chomping at the bit to bring in King. On reputation King comes in at the expense of Sharman. On form Membrey.
I reckon Webster is straight in if available too - for Paton.
The eye test says our midfield is struggling. But we continue to win the contested footy (only team all year that has beat us in this area was Carlton).
Selections are going to interesting.
Definitely our weak line. Benefit of the doubt for Harves personnel has a bit to do with it.Which coach is charge of efficiency inside 50 Harves ? wonder if he is feeling any heat from RTB yet
Doc.....you win the Gold Medal for today.....that is just epic !!!!!!!I was going to spend a considerable amount of time trying to replace Matthew Broderick’s head with Phillipou’s. Then I realised they look almost identical

I attended the game prior to getting to Marvel for the last 1/4 of the Saints game. They seem to have the dreaded hangover after getting thrashed in the GF. They've really only beaten the very poor sides. They look really low energy this year. Probably a loss to Freo this week off missing finals and same with Freo for that matter. It's getting deep into the season and one will be on 3 wins from 9 rounds. It's a long road back to the top from there because you have to jump others as well as banking wins yourself.

Best we could do would be 3 of those if Owens went into the midfield more
