Got no cash, no downgrade options, & Brown & Higgins stinking up my forward line. And only Rohan to cover.

Losses in 6/6 FF matches this weekend looming. Good times.

with 5 trades and 77k in the bank, and higgins and brown in fwd line with hitchcock and watts as cover, I feel like I have to trade, but i'm thinking ill just have to stick it out and hold onto the trades, if i were to trade them two and make sure i have decent depth for the next few weeks i'd prob bring in kennedy and rioli/harvey

J.Brown to Goodes for me. Seems decent enough.

I'd check if Goodes will play in the midfield, if you are picking a forward there are more consistent options- Didak for one.

The only one I'd consider would be Rioli and even then I'd wait a week or so to make sure Rioli's one game wasn't a one off this season. Avoid Kennedy as WC are horrid and may rest him if he has any niggle, ditto Harvey.

So would you recommend me hold onto to Higgins and JB? I'm pretty confident I'm going to make finals so I think I might just have to cope with a loss or two with a tough draw coming on, that would mean I'd have to start Rockliff, Hitchcock and Watts on the field, that's trouble right there

Definately hold Higgins. I would consider Rockliff almost a certainty to play with Brown out anyway, so he will be there. Honestly it depends what you are going for- overall or league. My personal belief is that UNLESS a premium is out for 2 months or more, then you bought him for a reason, keep him.

I'd have a look at Didak if you must trade JB.

ye im thinkin of upgrading just one of them now, dids is a pretty reliable choice but would require a double trade which hurts, i'm so fearful of injuries, cheers

Next week is the split round and Bris and Swans play on different weekends, so you won't be able to see where Goodes is listed.

In saying that I can't see Brown missing more than 1 more week with another games rest from the split round.

You can't afford to have a keeper on the bench for anything over 4 weeks from here.

But only if you are going for overall. If you are going for league, you hold unless they are due for return in round 18-19, as then they will need match fitness for fantasy finals, so they won't be at their peak.

I did say it depends on what you are going for. Ideally you need to really use the first 6 weeks of the season to build the cash cows up, and then trade them. For me a few of my cash cows were Gumbleton, Barlow (who ended up being a premium), Bastinac, Gysberts, Trengove, Martin, MacGuire (also a keeper). Ideally you use them, and upgrade your forwards/mids/rucks. If you are going for overall you must be damn careful with premiums on the bench, you can cop a 2 week injury but anything more you need to think carefully.

have Murphy cover for brown, so ill keep brown, but still have Maguire hopefully Richmond bring back Webberley, after their win i doubt it though. So i may have to do a double trade to get Goddard in, which i dont want to considering his price tag, as i already have every other awesome defender.
Thoughts?

Considering the Bulldogs demolition of the Lions and Richmond's thumping of WC, I can't see either getting a game. Hargrave has points on his side from last year, but there weren't any glaring faults from the Dogs, was there?

I think hargrave will definatly get a game if fit, is in their best 22 before the likes of Mole, Stack and wood

As for Richmond they may want to keep the winning formula going and keep the same team but Webberly should get some more games after playing well in the vfl

but i guess i'll have to wait and see

Oh, forgot Tom Williams is injured. That probably opens a spot up for Hargrave. However, he's been a spud all year, so I think it could come down to if anyone is knocking down the door in the VFL. Brad Johnson needs to come in too.

And Stack/Wood weren't that bad yesterday, were they? Moles isn't best 22 though.

As for Webberly, I think Richmond would like to keep the team the way it is for once. Foley will probably come through the VFL, and the regular whipping boys were alright yesterday. However, Webberly was alright in the 2's on Saturday, so who knows?

All I know is that one more injury in your back line/forward line and you're in a world of trouble.

I'm so f**ked right now, I have 10 trades left but I will need to be smart with them!

I have Brown with Gumby covering him at the moment and Higgins swapped onto the bench in my midfield with Rohan covering him. I have $100k in the bank and Fyfe, Rohan & Gumby giving me poo scores. My backline is shot with Davis & Maguire on the bench with Ladson, Hunt & Kennelly all giving me 50 or less.

Any advice on how to turn my season around?

No trades this week, with the mid-season break looming players such as Higgins, Maguire and Brown will have time to (hopefully) get themselves right. Might have a look before Round 14 but ill be planning on keeping my remaining trades for finals and luxury upgrades.
