Re: Round 13 Trades

Brown > Franklin
or
Maguire > Fisher
Depends on who is out for longest
Looks like both are out for a month though, which trade would you go with.
Sheppard as cover for Maguire
Gumby as cover for Brown.

Re: Round 13 Trades

I have a master plan in place. I trade maguire, who is currently on my bench, down to Scott Selwood (Spud, I know). I gain 210k (Including the bank), and upgrade Martin when he stops going up in value soon to Montagna. This leaves me with 8 trades for the season, and Waters the only real upgrade to make. This is what the team looks like at the present:

DEF: Goddard, Hodge, Gilbee, Shaw, Waters, Enright, Malceski (Maguire, Webberley)

MID: Ablett, Cross, Dal Santo, Ball, Barlow, Martin (Rohan, Shuey)

FWD: Brown, Okeefe, Goodes, Chapman, Hall, Pods, Franklin (Fyfe, Gumbleton)

Sitting in 700th place atm.

Re: Round 13 Trades

Should i risk chappy!!??!?!

I picked up Chappy earlier in the season and he's been gold.

However something to ponder for those considering him at this stage:

1) He's yet to have his standard 2-3 week hammy
2) If he stays fit, look for Bomber to rest him in August - can you afford that in the middle of your finals?

Great point scorer, but it's a big risk to buy him at this point. May be worth it though with the lean year forwards are having.

Re: Round 13 Trades

Not overly happy with my forward line, thinking of trading Sylvia for OKeefe but open to ideas.

29k in the Back, 9 Trades Left.

Backs: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, O Brien, Waters, J Blake, Doughty (Trengove, Talia)

Mids: Swan, Dal Santo, J Selwood, Barlow, Judd, Martin, (Trengove, Shuey)

Rucks; Mumford, Jolly (Skipper, Roughead)

Fwds: Grundy, Podsiadsly, C Peterson, Tippett, Fyffe, T Walker, Sylvia. (Gumbleton, Markovic)

Re: Round 13 Trades

Panic trades after getting thumped by the fullblowndonks this week

Panic trade, you serious?

I am playing with a dounut in the backline at the moment -

Maguire (Webberly, Roberton)

If Webberly ot Roberton play then I don't trade. If one of them doesn't play though then I will have no choice but to double trade Maguire to avoid a dounut.

Maguire could be anything from 4 weeks to the season. Too much of a risk for me when my bench aren't playing and I have to keep playing with a dounut every week.

Maguire will most likely need to be upgraded anyways, may as well do it this week if Webberly/Roberton don't get selected.

Re: Round 13 Trades

For everyone panicking about the split round, it's a partial lock out.

For trades, i will be holding off for a few weeks. There are just no downgrade targets right now (that are worth it) but this is the week every club can elevate a rookie, so we should see some tasty prospects coming out of the woodwork. Also will give us some time to see who performs best and who has the best JS

I scored 2362 this week with a Webberly 0 failing to cover Maguire.

I am no hope of overall. May as well hold the trades, as judging by this week, there is going to be carnage at the pointy end of the fantasy finals. And in my league, its tough to even win a game!

People that have under 5 trades at this stage are in for a world of hurt in the coming few months

Re: Round 13 Trades

B: L.Hodge, N.Malceski, H.Scotland, S.Thompson.
HB: H.O'Brien, B.Waters, K.Bradley - Emerg: T.Chaplin
C: B.Goddard, M.Barlow, C.Judd, S.Black, M.Thomas, T.Scully - Emerg: J.Gysberts.
Ruck: A.Sandilands, M.Jamar - Emerg: M.Lobbe
HF: J.Riewoldt, D.Thomas, H.Grundy
F: B.Hall, J.Podsiadly, J.Roughead, B.Dick - Emerg: N.Fyfe

In this week came B.Dick and out J.Grant, if Dick isn't doing to well then i think he'll just sit on my bench, but hopefully much better than grant.

I have one more trade, and i'm thinking of taking out Scully. But for what? I've only got 10k left.

Good call and those that have trades will rocket past those who run out by round 17/18.

Re: Round 13 Trades

Looking for some help on what to do this week- this is my team:

Backs- Goddard, Hodge, Gilbert, Enright, Goodwin, Waters, Kennelly
(Silvagni, Webberly)

Mids- Ablett, Dal Santo, Cooney, Judd, Barlow, Bastinac
(Gysberts, Shuey)

Rucks- Sandilands, Clark
(Trengove, Warnock)

Forwards- Chapman, Pavlich, Brown, O'Keefe, Goodes, Pods, Franklin
(Fyfe, Davis)

I have 8 trades and $135k but really want to finish off the midfield with getting in a rookie and upgrading Bastinac to Swan. I'm mainly going for league because am 1500 in overall but will 6 trades be enough for rest of season?? Got a tough run in league coming up but am in top 4. Help please?

Re: Round 13 Trades

^^^ If you reckon you can maintain top four with that team and no trades, then just hold on to them. Otherwise, it looks like a very good team, and Swan would only improve that further.

Here's my forward line:
Pavlich, O'Keefe, Brown, Goodes, Podsiadly, Higgins, Ziebell (Watts, Hughes)

As you can see, i got Brown and Higgins injured for bout 3-4 weeks, with Watts as cover (not guaranteed to play) and Hughes doing sh*t all on the bench. With only 4 trades (don't even ask how i got into this situation) what do you reckon i should do?
Trade Higgins? Trade Brown? Or just sit still and wait and see?

Bare in mind that I am guaranteed pretty much a top four spot in league.

You have exactly the same forward line as me except i have rockliff you have ziebell and I have Hitchcock and Watts as cover......I only have 5 trades left and am sitting in 2nd spot in my main league, my head tells me I should hold onto those trades, cos when the crunch comes, Brown and Higgins should be fit with a month out of the game and that way you can save the trades for long term injuries or hoepfully upgrades

Re: Round 13 Trades

Damn, about $700 short of a straight swap of Maguire to Harbrow. And Harbrow's BE is only 71 (83 avg)

Dempesey is another option, Hargrave if he's back next week, Carrazzo?

Hmmm...

Do not get Carrazzo. He is not a SC player. I have learnt the hard way this year. Can pull the 140's, but is more likely to score 50-70

Re: Round 13 Trades

My options
A:Use 2 Trades and get H. Shaw + Any Mid under 560k (6 trades remaining)
or
B: Use 3 trades and get Gilbert + Any Mid (5 Trades remaining)

After these trades my weakest player will be B. Hall

any thoughts?

Re: Round 13 Trades

hmm, i would go with option B personally, but i am a little reckless with my trades, haha, i just brought in heath shaw last week and saw him score 4 points in a half, if you can, avoid him.

here is my question, which scenario is better:

hille/chapman/4 trades

sandi/didak/3 trades

its just so confusing!!

Well for starters the rumors about Didaks OP issue is enough to scare me off option B,

As for option A you would have to be prepared for the fact that chapman may get injured so you would need to have appropriate cover or another trade effectively putting that move at a cost of 5 trades.

Which ruck are you getting rid of? NicNat?

How many trades left?

Re: Round 13 Trades

My ruck is nic nat and mumford, i only have 6 trades left, is it necessary to upgrade nic nat to either cox or sandi?

Re: Round 13 Trades

Ok my forward line is in big trouble (has always been somewhat weak) 2 donuts coming up with no cover.

I have J Brown and C Mayne. Both out for at least a few weeks from what I can tell.

7 trades left.

Chappy, pav and roughhead holding up the fwd line at the moment with some nice help from rockliff, who I am now going to have to keep. The other fwd is Ebert who I planned to get rid of long ago but things got in the way and now I'm probably stuck with him too.

Anyway, back to the 2 big problems at the moment. Considering:

J.Brown > ROK
C.Mayne > M. Hahn

Thoughts?

Both kinda sideways which I guess is a no-no, and I hate to trade out brown because i'll be losing quite a bit of money on him, but this way I can deal with both injuries with only 2 trades.

I still managed to score 2278 last week with the same 2 donuts, which was enough to win me both league matches, so I could also attempt to ride it out...

Re: Round 13 Trades

Got 7 trades and 150k in the bank.

Back, Mid and Rucks set.

Forwards:
Pav, Didak, Brown, O'Keefe, Franklin, Hall, Pods

Looking to trade JB out this week, but for who is the million dollar question.

Looking to do a Hall to Chappy in rd19 for finals (have goose on the bench to cover the funds for that trade post rd18)...

can't bring myself to get Dale Thomas and i'm skeptical on Gia....

Goodes is presenting himself well to me and will leave me with 100k in the bank.

Any other viable options, Waite?

Re: Round 13 Trades

Zero trades this week.....

1. Down to 5 so keeping those for the moment.
2. Really only need one more upgrade in the backline and there seems to be plenty of options there so no hurry
3. Saving a trade/Upgrade for Roo/Chapman toward the end of the season.
4. Split round so you just know your going to get screwed on the selections somewhere.
5. I'll comfortabley win my league games this week even if I do cop a cple of donuts.

Re: Round 13 Trades

Backs: Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Malceski, Maguire, Hunt (Nason, Roberton)

Mids: Ablett, Selwood, Gibbs, Gilbee, Barlow, Martin (Cunnington, Gysberts)

Forwards: Didak, ROK, Pods, Hall, Gia, Higgins, LeCras (Rockcliff, Peterson)

7 trades left, $252k in the bank.

Thinking of upgrading Martin to Swan or Pendlebury. However I still need to upgrade Hunt and LeCras...running out of cash/trades!!

Think I might upgrade LeCras to Goodes if I can. Any thoughts/suggestions?

If your going to trade in a Bulldogs forward, perhaps Rob Murphy is the best choice, especially if he continues to play on the HBF.

Goodes, Waite or even Boomer Harvey look the best options in that price range I reckon.

I'd probably get Goodes, very nicely priced and has shown a little bit of form over the last three weeks. If he'd kicked straight in round 11 instead of kicking 1.5 (or whatever it was) his score could have been huge.

I'm in a bit of a tricky situation. Have 332k in the bank and 7 trades left. Need to upgrade Ziebell and I want to get Swan for him.

But this only leaves me with another 60k to upgrade Maguire. I copped a 0 from Maguire this week because Webbely was dropped and I don't want another 0 this week. I missed Malceski at the start of the season, i'd love to get him this week but i'm 30k short. :(

Wasn't specifically after a bulldog forward, hahn just seemed to have the best average of what I could afford. but murphy will save me some cash, so might be a good idea. Thanks for the tip.
