Even when he goes I will be left so annoyed that the club let this guy destroy our chance at a flag and maybe multiple flags.
He has ruined players careers, disengaged the bond supporters had with the club.
There is no doubt in my mind that this is huge, this mess is going to take years to rectify, that's if we can ever recover at all.
We need a very big broom and then we need people in positions that have passionate ties with the club, then maybe we can get back to resembling the Port we used to be.

We have to start somewhere and soon.
Sack Hinkley first.

Kornes seems to have given up defending him. Writing on the wall stuff.

The sooner we rip the band-aid, the better. Don't waste any more games this season with Hinkley at the helm. He can only do more damage by staying.

Blight was an eccentric but a passionate guy who believed in what he was doing. He had pride.

Ken is just a brain-dead dolt riding a gravy train and trying to drain the club coffers as much as possible before waddling back to Geelong. He wouldn't give a shit about the boos because he hates the fans anyway.

Ken going by the end of the year seems way to far away considering the fall out after just yesterdays game, but I can see that with us still within reach of finals, the board and committee would take the approach of not changing anything until that's out of the question.

If the 79 point non effort is replicated a few more times though, then there would be no denying that he's lost the players and he would have to be tapped on the shoulder much earlier.

This fallout can not just end with Ken though.

Who was responsible for recommending him? who is responsible for signing off? Who's going to put their hand up and say "I take ownership of this" considering we now have half full stadiums of our fans booing our head coach.

I called it many weeks ago that there has been a clear and visible change this year , Ken has 100% lost the players. They don’t believe in him and his gameplan.

I’m very much willing to cut players who have proven they can play in the past, for not grinding themselves to dust trying to make a square block fit into a round hole because for ten years Ken has been saying it will fit.

As I said earlier in a thread , every high end player we’ve had bar gray has had the fan base turn on them or at the very least lost a fair amount of their lustre. It’s not coincidence. Ken is a shackle around these players necks.
Spot on, and I have no doubt that they'll play with freedom under a new coach - their full potential will finally be realised.

We will never rectify the no captains mess. Thats a shit stain on our history forever.

Who are the genuine candidates to replace him?

We also desperately need a new fitness coach. We are not at the required standard as a squad.

Who cares? It'll be Carr in caretaker mode for now if he's sacked tomorrow.

If we weren't incompetent, they'd do an actual competitive recruitment process. We have a lot of talent to work with and a passionate fan base. Any prospective coach worth their salt would be lining up.

he won't be sacked he'll be sent out with commemorative merch and a lovely farewell this is David Koch's Port Adelaide

I couldn't stomach it. Koch drooling over Hinkley our saviour at the final presser.

I'm dreaming that Koch is overthrown first and then Hinkley is sacked but doubt it will happen in that order.

I’m glad Ken was booed when he was on the screen and when he was walking off the ground. He deserves every boo and jeer he gets.

Fagan can **** right off saying that we shouldn’t be booing the guy. “Ken shouldn’t be judged on one performance” - agreed, I’m judging him on 12 years of dross and underperformance, and if I want to boo the campaigner I’ll boo the campaigner.
And if Fagan and every other Hinkley lover reckons yesterday was a once off, they're gonna be disappointed, because the scenes at Adelaide Oval yesterday are just the start. Bookmark it - we'll see similar scenes at the Bulldogs game.

He started the press conference with a smirk too. He doesn’t care enough and neither do the players.
This is Ken’s tell - he’d be farked at poker.

He smirks when he doesn’t like the question. Any hint of his decisions being questioned and he gets all smirky and tries to downplay whatever he is being asked.

Gerard whatley will cry like a baby in the next few days , I say bring it on you're private school pinocchio looking mother ****er
Whately is going to tell us all that we don't deserve Hinkley.

I'm sure we can all agree on that.

It's why his working harder schtick is such bullshit. No amount of hard work will make a broken game plan a consistent winner.
