Normally timing is critical when a coach is sacked post season as you need to organise a process to hire a new one.
In our case obviously carr will be coach if ken gets the flick. So it's no great hurry if they go down that path.
A decision may be left after trade period
The longer it goes without chewy getting confirmation of Ken for 2025 the better and more likely ken is gone.

My only worry is they actually don't need to do anything at all... No confirmation is needed in any way - He's already got a bloody contract thanks to Koch!

Right but I can’t imagine the comments were as prevalent 6+ years prior to Williams actually finishing up. BigFooty is far more active now than then so there’s bound to be louder toxicity, but your point about people doing a backflip regarding Williams is a bit misguided. He could back it up, he made it to 2 Grand Finals and won a flag well before people were saying things about him. We’re still waiting for Ken…

Point regarding still waiting for Ken acknowledged. No wish to argue that and TBPH couldn't care less. The comments re Williams were less in number,granted, but no less vitriolic especially at the end and there was a fair bit of venom around after the 07GF. Not going to go into a long winded dissertation on this issue, suffice to say IMO Williams was a shit coach who had a prime list to work with and continually failed, and has repeated the same failure wherever he has gone. This years VFL premier is another glaring example of his failures. But that's my opinion. You're welcome to disagree. At the end of the day- Hinkley vs Williams= care factor 0.

I'm just going to leave this here so I don't have to keep repeating myself for the next little while:

If the Club confirms Hinkley's position for 2025, they're not going to put out a statement doing so. But there would still be a decision that would be ratified by Club executives, directors etc. And if that occurs, I will well and truly know about it and post an update as such in here.

Otherwise, as it stands (and for the next little while), there is no update to be had. I was well and truly wrong on my presumption of the B&F deadline based on what I've been told in the last day or two.

There are people on here that wanted Choco gone, that now accept Hinkley is even worse.

There are people like me that Choco was a successful legend of the club.

Who knows, there might even be a deranged moron out there that thinks Hinkley is better than Choco was (though they should probably be admitted).

Correct they will not do anything, where both the Crows & Port are owned by the AFL who do not sanction pay outs for sacked coaches. To mis-quote General Douglas MacArthur, "Port coaches never die, they simply fade away".

You have a very warped concept of what being defeated in argument means. It' s opinion vs opinion and at the end of the day i couldn't care less who coaches. It's football tradition for the fans to pillory the club coach when things go pear shaped and see them as a legend if the club wins flags. Some people take a more objective view particularly those with exposure to the inner workings.
