EVEN, even if he actually wasn't responsible for the loss, as the clubs leader you're supposed to put your hand up and take responsibility, shield people under you and deal with issues internally, it's just the right thing to do in such a powerful position.

He throws everyone under the bus and nobody bats an eye. Crazy stuff.

That's the thing. He's allowed to do these things.

Koch and the board allow all of Hinkley's poor coaching and everything thereafter that comes of it, throwing people under the bus, talking up the opposition, the list isn't good enough, etc.

What Hinkley is allowed to say and get away with is borderline criminal.

He can do as pretty much likes unless we don't make finals or an embarrassment to the point where marketing tells Koch that the numbers are moving the wrong way.

When Chris Scott and John Longmire saw we would be playing them in finals, they would've been so happy to know the game would've been won before a ball was bounced. Sam Mitchell will be rueing the loss and the Hawks will want blood and be particularly unsociable next time we see them.

Listening to his presser, he just doesn't have the answers. He thinks there's no link between all of the finals failures. He thinks it's just a matter of turning up again and maybe it'll happen next time. He's got no idea and he has to go.

Well that didn't happen. The game was over before half time.

Kochless has already come out and said Ken is coaching for 2025 even before a meeting with the board. How does that work.

It will be interesting to see what unfolds because it is plainly obvious to everyone that Ken could have the 1992 SA State of Origin team and still lose a prelim.

Then, last night he goes on with it not being about the one person. This comes out when we lose or shit goes bad (Geelong, last night), but he carries on like a plonka (last week, after showdowns, crying on camera after the saints win) when we win - making it all about him. Then, when we inevitably go out in finals, he gets off scott free and we wont hear from him until pre season the next year..... its a shambles.

That's another thing, I've heard people say it was always gonna be a tough rd beating Syd in Syd after having to overcome the Hawks in that huge game. As though Kens a genius for getting us to a prelim.

If we didn't completely turn our toes up in the QF we wouldn't of been taxed going into this game, we would've been at home in a prelim.

Like, that first terrible loss contributed to this loss, it's all linked, it's all Ken.

Enough with the mental gymnastics of why he's not at fault.

Hinkley is staying next year. He will not make the decision to step aside himself because of $.

If Hinkley’s gameplan is to put it on Ratugolea’s head, who is incapable of kicking a goal, then there could be an early season payout.

No other club is saving us from him now. The time was late 2017 with Gold Coast and Kochie blinked and it’s wasted another 8 years.

Ken can lose any type of final. We've now lost a home prelim, an away prelim, a home semi, an away semi, a home qualifying, an away qualifying, and a home elimination in his tenure. Just need to tick off away elimination and we've completed the set. Oh, and of course a Grand Final, but for the reasons set out above we're never gonna get far enough to have the chance.

Would be good to compile a list of players and coaches that have been through the place over the last 12 years. It’s amazing Ken can’t get the best support he needs.

You know there is no accountability because not only are the results bad but the decision making on a holistic level is truly bad.

There are not many footballing areas that Hinkley makes good decisions in.

And then it is rare for Hinkley to make a good decision but when it goes well, he usually repeals it.

The callers like to highlight how the players get up for Ken and he gets huge emotional responses from them, but its not a sustainable system.

How the footy dept can't see that is beyond me.

Our gameplan just doesn't stack up to win a flag, it hasn't for years and years.

I was hopeful tonight because I thought if Ken can get the players breathing fire for just a couple more games after last week then we could actually win something, to hell with the gameplan, but he can't, it's a super taxing rollercoaster that they as a whole just jump on and off all year.

To be honest, I think some of the players that buy into Ken are part of the problem.

At an absolute minimum I want to hear there are rumblings or challenges at board level about Hinkleys position.

I just want the narrative out there that high up people are upset and trying to do something about it.

At least create some pressure around this fraud if he does plonk his bumpkin arse back in the seat next year.

Koch says buffoonery things but when he says Hinkley is coach next year, it's always been a confirmation of a decision that's been made already. Unless there's about to be a move made to oust Koch as well, but I doubt it.

If this decision has already been made it was made in isolation by Koch and no one else. His top supporters within the Club even didn't know these comments were coming because no discussion on the coach was to take place during finals.
