The season we had co-captains was the worst season in Hinkley's tenure in terms of W/L.
Classic Hinks.

Fully supportive of Tredders taking a family holiday but it's absolutely churning my stomach that at crunch time we don't have Tredders there. Great if Snowdon is also on our side but there is strength in numbers and it just feels like we're going to get a Friday at 4.45pm style wave through and they won't even have a proper discussion let alone make the right decision.
I understand your viewpoint, but to think that Warren hasn't already expressed his opinions to the relevant people would be unwise at this point. The Board and footy committee were all at the prelim loss in Sydney. Do you think Warren just sat back and said nothing afterwards? I can't say for sure, but I highly doubt it.
You also need to take solace in the fact that he is not alone in his line of thinking on this matter.
Just because everyone hasn't gotten into a room together yet to hash this thing out doesn't mean that informal discussions haven't taken place.
I expect to have an update later this week (no sooner than Wednesday). Will post an update once I hear more.
He's not - CD said he doesn't need extended leave. He was there all last week doing exit interviews and is there this week.it is interesting that donuts is taking an 'extended leave' away from the club so he can recover mentally.
Why is Treadrea in Melbourne when Koch and Richardson were at Alberton yesterday for AFLW? Is Treadrea having some time off?Tredrea still in Melbourne, so nothing important happening here.
Stuart Graham - Head of High Performance. Been at the club for over ten years.the guy on kens left lol. I see him all the time and yet I have no idea who he is. Loves a finger wiggle, loves to hold the magnet board.
Sack himStuart Graham - Head of High Performance. Been at the club for over ten years.
Dr. Phil says that Ken should take the whole of 2025 off to fully recover, and if he then still hasn't returned to his old self, he should retire.it is interesting that donuts is taking an 'extended leave' away from the club so he can recover mentally.
It's spelt Tredrea who is by the way our greatest CHF of the modern era and only AFL premiership captain. Why is Treadrea in Melbourne when Koch and Richardson were at Alberton yesterday for AFLW? Is Treadrea having some time off?
Where was the General Manager of Football, Chris Davies or was he off interviewing at another football club in the lead up to the most important part of the year, list management wise? What a pillock you are.Why is Treadrea in Melbourne when Koch and Richardson were at Alberton yesterday for AFLW? Is Treadrea having some time off?
Yeh I've been feeling the same about this. I want a coach with burning desire. At least he makes sense when interviewed & represents the club in a professional manner. That's a step up.Carr is hanging around Adelaide for family reasons. Is that the type of ruthlessness port should seek in a head coach? That just reeks of a bloke cruising to me. He’s happy playing second fiddle to a spud.
This is not sounding overly promising. Sounds like a strategy to minimise the Sack Hinkley signs around Adelaide & keep the supporter base as quiet as possible while they get the automatic renewal of memberships finished. That's the logical deadline but I keep asking people about that being the deadline and everyone has kept it open to be a possibility to go on even longer than that.
Agree that it would be very unlikely. The club is 100% to blame. He has a contract. Regardless of your opinion on Ken, he's contracted for another year and I'm not sure it's totally selfish to finish second on the ladder and make a prelim and not resign given some dickheads decided to give him a contract. No matter what you think, this is on those that decided to give him a contract.
I offer that nobody here earning what Ken earns, in an industry where there's a very finite number of positions at that level would walk away from a contract with one year remaining given you aren't in breach of that contract and you were given that contract based on similar performance only a couple of years ago. It's all lip service. No way anybody is walking away. If the club aren't happy, he should be sacked and paid out. That's on them.
This could very easily be part of the strategy to shut us up.Of course he has the right to fulfill his contract. But if we start poorly next season and the pressure mounts on the club, noone will care.
The whole club will be seen as negligent for letting the circus distract the team for yet another year and Ken won't escape criticism. The media are of the opinion that Ken might make the call himself and resign. If that's true, then he's seen as having a choice and is not simply beholden to a contract.
People can call me ruthless, I don't care. Coaching an Afl team requires total committment & an abundance of time. It's an extremely well paid job & is only suitable for a select few due to this. I'm not happy with this succession plan & I'm not happy with the holding pattern the club is in. I want an outsider who wants the job right now. This won't be popular but the longer this crap continues the more it looks like the club, once again, is taking the easy route. Not really. I didn’t ask for specifics but got told I am a pelican. I’d have a chuckle at how many here have liked certain posts about Jordan Hinkley for example and then don’t hesitate to pile on me for questioning Carrs ambition. The hypocrisy and hypersensitivity on this board is hilarious.
Imo we don't win that 2004 flag without Dimma. Was a superb get by the club.Hardwick cannot even be compared to Hinkley
Dimma was a very young coach who got the HC job only a few years after retirement. He was always going to grow as a coach.
Ken Hinkley is almost 60.
I did just thatSend them one back saying they need to sacketh the Kenneth
After the rubbish we've had for years I only want a ruthless winner. We're not running a bloody social club.Nothing unpopular about getting ruthless winners in.
We should have done what Brisbane did and got that scumbag Luke Hodge to help right our culture.
If anyone can put up the sack Hinkley sign again I reckon that'll work a treat. Would definitely make sure the club's talking about it again and might be the last straw for KenThis is not sounding overly promising. Sounds like a strategy to minimise the Sack Hinkley signs around Adelaide & keep the supporter base as quiet as possible while they get the automatic renewal of memberships finished.
Whats the relevance? Brisbane is not Port Adelaide. They have different traditions and values.Just on the co Captain thing. It has nothing to do with anything. Brisbane has co Captains. Just saying.
I reckon you're right but I also thought Swans would beat the Lions so I'm questioning my judgement atm.I reckon he is staying.
