Wilson said it on Footy Classified the Monday after the semi. Not worried about the club's image, only about his 'legacy'. What ****ing legacy Kenny? You actually haven't won anything therefore have no legacy. The minute you finally leave you will never be thought of again.
What do you mean, no legacy?
Read'em and weep.

1. 2020 PF narrow loss to Richmond at home
2. 2014 PF narrow loss to Hawthorn away
3. 2024 PF loss to Sydney away
4. 2021 PF loss to the Western Bulldogs at home
5. 2023 SF loss to Greater Western Sydney at home to go out in straight sets.

That's Ken's legacy.

Um I'm pretty sure before the 2020 prelim Ken said "no homo" so this post is incorrect.

Like pretty much every Port fan I would not have let Ken continue as coach if I were the CEO. Now that's it's clear he's with us this coming season I'm going to accept the decision and support the lads.

Sure I will make noise when we inevitably fall short but right now there's no point getting angry over something I cannot control. We can all beat the drums as loud as we want but nothing will change until at least half way through next footy season. So I genuinely hope the club does well and when it's time to force change I'll be apart of that chorus.

The personal attacks however aren't justified and frankly most wouldn't say these things without the anonymity of a keyboard, and I don't accept passion for the club as justification for this behaviour.

Sure absolutely make him accountable for his coaching, I definitely have and will, but don't make it personal and lower your values in the process.

What's personal about calling him the Donut King?

Can you give an example of a personal attack? I see this comment a bit yet rarely really see anything that crosses any kind of line in here.

I think its justified to discuss things he's said about the club, his attendance rate at functions and his promotion of animal cruelty and gambling among the playing group. They aren't personal because they are directly related to his performance and how him being here impacts the club itself.

I have never been more sick of an individual in all my time following sport.

Genuinely loathe him, and will do handstands when he finally slings his hook.

If the depth of my feelings toward him is in any way matched by others around here, even the worst ad hominems I’ve seen on this board should be considered getting off lightly — especially given the unprecedented media protection racket which has pulled no punches firing back on his behalf.

Nah, I’m going to keep going until he’s gone. Thanks for your interest though.

I'm guessing Chachi is referring to the many comments related to his appearance, intellect, etc. Unendearing yes but we're on the internet so when in Rome I guess. There aren't too many comments that seriously cross the line and most of them get deleted.

His looks are his strong point IMO.

his legacy will simply be be winning little feel-good season games that don't matter and getting smashed in proper finals games that do matter.

The guy came out and said at the AGM 2019 "Co-captains would give us the best possible chance to win ". Honestly, what moronic idiot would actually say that? We went on to miss the finals.
He's stupid and an embarrassment.
Not only did we miss the Finals, but at the time it was our second worst result under Ken going 11-11.

With only 10-12 in 2016 worse at the time. (Since added another 10-12 in 2022).

No one born before or after Hinkley will have delivered less AFL premierships, much less have been paid for 13 years to do so.
The universe has been around for 14 billion years and has evolved in unfathomable richness and complexity with the goal of producing a perfect organism incapable of winning an AFL premiership despite having all of the necessary advantages and preconditions to do so. Ken Hinkley is its final form.

That should have been a sackable offence. To push so hard for something that goes against decades of tradition at this club and get it so wrong, just baffling that the only consequences of that decision were that Ollie never got to be sole captain and Jonas had to play on two years past his used by date

I think if there is no succession plan announced by round 1 that you cannot discount the possibility of another contract extension.

I do think they'll announce it before round 1 though. But not before Christmas.
Surely the change at the Swans shows everyone there’s only one way to do a successful hand over?

This is absolute crap. These people hate the supporters just as much as we hate them. Theres no reason to show sympathy.

They are the definition of underperformers. but then on the weekend they take their paycheck go away and kill underperforming animals. Its ridiculous.

These peoples lives should be made hell, what are you talking about?

Cardone - Racing SA
Kent Hinkley - greyhound, horse, cockfighting, the lot

Literally all they have to do is take their money and leave and it stops

Well lets wait and see if its successful. They tied themselves to Cox and didnt test the market at all. The Swans have a side ready to go right now yet are going with a first time head coach.

Im not saying its wrong, or wont work. Im just saying lets wait before judging.

You'd think so, but there's nothing conventional about how this club operates within its footy department.
