The 5 of 6 final losses by average of 9 goals (is it really that much?) needs to be brought up at the AGM. It's appalling. No-one can defend that.

Western Bulldogs - worst home prelim loss in AFL history
Brisbane - flogged us
Gws - basically flogged us
Geelong - absolutely flogged us
Sydney - flogged us

None of those games were competitive. The ones that were "close-ish" on the scorelines (Sydney and GWS) were basically them putting the cue in the rack when it was obvious we brought no threat.

It's absolutely laughable that piss Davies and "woohoo" Richardson keep saying we're "close" when you actually look at our finals.

Koch only looks at data that don't make him and Hinkley look stupid. He clearly glosses over stuff like 3 finals wins in 10 years, or the fact that we've lost 5 of our last 6 finals by an average of 9 goals, because they don't suit his agenda.
Koch is German for cherry picker. True fact.

Win one of those and Hinkley's post-game antics would've seen him running around the ground buzzing opposition players and pretending to be the Enola Gay even though he didn't see the movie.

he didn't wanna go through the process having been rejected a number of times elsewhere.

How much of a red flag was this in hindsight?

Regardless of how he was appointed it's hard to deny that he was the right man for the job at the time. But that was more than 12 years ago. It's since been proven that he's not capable of taking the team to the next level (ie grand finals and premierships). That's perfectly fine, it's a high bar. The actual blame falls on the board and senior management for being too stupid and/or gutless to recognise this and move him on.

And now we would be an extremely attractive option for prospective head coaches but for some reason we feel the need to annoint without due process in Carr, Sutcliffe blah blah blah the list is endless, and keep the fat bollard in charge. It's incomprehensible.

Someone who refuses to go through an interview process is never the right man for the job.
