You see those roundtables and interviews of the Port guys who played under Jack, and Man United guys who played under Fergie, and there’s a simmering undercurrent there — like maybe ‘resentment’ isn’t the right word, but they’ve all got a vibe beyond the abiding respect for the man and acknowledgment they were fortunate to play under a GOAT that speaks to a sentiment of, “I didn’t always enjoy it, and jeez he could be brutal at times — he couldn’t get away with some of it nowadays!”

With Kenny the players talk about him like he’s a beloved old Gran who showered them with Werther’s Originals.

If you look at it from the perspective of, he’s taken one of the state’s grand institutions and moulded it in his own image — all talk/no action, smug and complacent when things seem to be going well, goes to water to the point of paralysis when the lights at their brightest, zero accountability to the point of aggressively gaslighting the members and fans — you could argue he’s been ‘influential’.

We're going to win a lot of games. We consistently beat bottom 10 sides, and then we just need to jag a couple of wins against other contenders and we're pushing for a top 4 spot.

The risk of Hinkley being extended is enormous. If we get to the bye at 7-4 or 8-3, and Hinkley asks for another contract, do we trust Koch to say no?
