I of 3 things will happen.

1. A succession plan is announced early into the season.

2. The club is tight lipped to see how the team is doing, if we are going well, a new contract could be on the cards.

3. Hinkley spits the dummy, has a cry to the media and walks away from the ungrateful club and it's fickle supporters.

Place your bets.

I think you're all naive thinking I get my information from a single individual.
OK, change "source" to "sources". Someone is definitely being played. It's either you or your sources.

A succession plan for a coach who’s achieved zero over 14 years is a ridiculous scenario.
This.
Ken has not been a success, so calling it a "Hinkley succession plan" would be absurd from that perspective.

If we are talking of succession in terms of another person succeeding (in other words "replacing" him), then that's fine, but title it differently.

I'd call that "putting a long overdue new broom through the place, and moving on to better times".

In fewer words, we'd be "orchestrating a handover scenario", or giving a loser the ar$e.

I don't care about any of the in between bullshit from our our board and our Hinkley loving squad, I just want him gone by the end of 2025, preferably the sooner the better.
We all know the cowards running our club will paint Ken as some sort of hero for saving the poor little club from Alberton, while us supporters get shafted for making it impossible for poor Ken to continue as coach, enjoy your last crack Kenny.

I'm sure chewy and his sources have the best intentions so I wouldn't be shooting the messengers.
The only thing I see is if certain people from the club read this forum as has been stated, the club would be aware of the leaks and could easily feed misinformation to appease the BF white noise. Also it wouldn't be to difficult to see where the leaks are, the sources would have to be very very careful.

Yep very simple, sack and replace.
No big words required

Yeah, you've always given yourself an escape plan.

Or I've always maintained a degree of fence sitting because nothing has ever been definitive. Instead, people like yourself have interpreted things in the way you have wanted and made definitive assumptions whilst ignoring the actual words I've written which have never been definitive.

If you can find a single post of mine in the last 12 months or so where I've definitively said Hinkley is being sacked, I tip my hat to you and apologise.

I'm sure chewy and his sources have the best intentions so I wouldn't be shooting the messengers.

Everything I post on here is heavily filtered to protect the identities of the individuals involved.

You're right though, the people I do speak to have the best intentions for the Club. So do the overwhelming majority of top execs and directors at the Club - even if there are times when I vehemently disagree with some of the actions taken by them as a collective.

I would have to be a complete idiot though to post information on here that is so detailed and distinct to a single individual or a very small collective group of people, such that it would be easy to identify where the leak is coming from.

In saying that, there are certain people on here who complain to complain irrespective of what I say or don't say, and as such I've deliberately been quieter over the last few months, and will continue to be so during the season.

In the meantime, hopefully we get a succession plan announced before round 1. If not, prepare for the inevitable "is Ken Hinkley staying or going" media bullshit to overshadow our Club's 2025 season.

Chewy's info reads like memes at this point no offence.

The AFL stopping anyone from sacking coaches is a bigger myth than Noah's Ark.

the AFL Commission instilled our President who works on their strict guidelines

Do you guys remember when Richmond kept Hardwick back in 2016 despite everyone wanting him sacked? From memory they brought in Caddy, Prestia, Nankervis and some new assistant coaches over the 2016 off season, and we all know what happened in 2017.

I've noticed Port have brought in Lukosius and Richards but haven't brought in any new assistants. How come they're not making changes to the coaching box? The good clubs tend to rotate assistant coaches in order to bring new ideas into the box. Port are at risk of becoming stale in my opinion, but that's just my two cents.

Nobody wants to work with Hinkley

All they did was tick it off he's gone off the reservation a number of times on the AFL which is not something you'd do if you were a puppet. The reality is he's a business world ******* applying stability models that don't work in sport and Ken is the biggest part of it, the AFL would not give two shits if we sacked him.
