Hinkley misses out as Tigers plump for Hardwick

We have the father, son and daughter in our midst.

Nobody knows if the son and/or daughter would have their job but for their dad being senior coach.

Can you imagine being a son and/or daughter working in an environment where pressure is building rapidly on their father to keep his job and stay in SA?

It’s a ridiculous set-up. It’s a mutually destructive set-up. It’s an unprofessional set-up. It’s a backwoods set-up.

Hinkley has his offspring as ‘eyes and ears’ inside the establishment.

People working around son and daughter must be wary that what they say isn’t leaked to Hinkley Sr., which it naturally is. Hinkley Sr. then tells his manager. Said manager then screws the Club even harder first chance he gets.

Another basic fail for our amateur CEO.

Common sense is more and more uncommon inside Postcode 5014/5015.
Reminds me of my workplace

If you’re abusing someone on pretty much the one day where they are celebrated for being who they are, then not only is it okay, it’s warranted.

Say whatever you want any other day, but give the guy a ******* break on his birthday, FFS. He’s not the ******* anti-Christ.
Alex Rance says hi

So? I don’t care about my birthday either, but someone abusing me on it wouldn’t go down too well. Treat others how you want to be treated and all that shit.

So you do care about it.

...
Treat others how you want to be treated and all that s**t.
You said that is only a Christian thing and I'm not a Christian. :)

So you do care about it.

No...what I care about is being afforded the same consideration as other people. It’s about putting yourself in the shoes of the other person and displaying a bit of empathy.

You said that is only a Christian thing and I'm not a Christian. :)

It’s another form of karmic balance, which is a universal law. I never said it was only a Christian thing - I believe I said that using it as a value system was perfectly acceptable. But so is any system that espouses cause and effect as the basis for it.

Me and Cheesey Mac said to each other a few times year "Imagine if the Crows sack Pyke before we sack Hinkley".

Whether Pyke was really sacked or indeed quit is another story, but still.

It's like being in football purgatory... Ken's position is essentially untenable, sponsors and fans aren't happy because we've not seen any discernible improvements in 6 years and yet the mob down the road, two years removed from a grand final, ruthlessly sack their coach allow their coach to resign for the benefit of the club... Ken will eventually get sacked, but he should already have been sacked
