From David Koch's speech at the B&F,

That is precisely what many predicted Koch and co would say. Obviously Koch still sees the sun shining from a certain part of Ken's anatomy. Prior to reading those comments I thought 2020 might be a, 'make the eight or go' year for Hinkley but now I am not so sure. It would not surprise me to see Hinkley re appointed for another three at the end of 2020.

Nobody knows if the son and/or daughter would have their job but for their dad being senior coach.

Can you imagine being a son and/or daughter working in an environment where pressure is building rapidly on their father to keep his job and stay in SA?

It’s a ridiculous set-up. It’s a mutually destructive set-up. It’s an unprofessional set-up. It’s a backwoods set-up.

Hinkley has his offspring as ‘eyes and ears’ inside the establishment.

People working around son and daughter must be wary that what they say isn’t leaked to Hinkley Sr., which it naturally is. Hinkley Sr. then tells his manager. Said manager then screws the Club even harder first chance he gets.

Another basic fail for our amateur CEO.

Agree 100%. So unprofessional by the club and Hinkley. This is just another thing that aggravates me but is so inline with Hinkleys MO. He talks like a loser, he behaves like a loser, he has the results of a loser but is crafty enuf to find ways of shoring up his position. He's the type of person I despise at work. They're no good but find out who to suck up to inorder to survive then suck away for dear life.

We're expected to believe that finishing 2nd-8th is no better or closer to winning a premiership than finishing 10th. Unfortunately, that's not how it actually works. You finish in the finals because you are a better team than those who miss the finals which means you are closer to a premiership.

This spin cycle of 'one day we'll get there, just you wait' really has to end. Good teams and good clubs make finals because they are just that - good teams and good clubs. There's no excuses, just action. The old Port Adelaide lived this mantra. The new Port Adelaide just find it all too hard.
