Alright, this is clearly an alias who's blown it by forgetting to log out of their alias account. Which one of you has been pretending to be thundercloud for the last few years?

Putting aside our forward line issues (a symptom of the disease, not the root cause), the thing that has concerned me is the lack of growth we’ve seen list wide.

People saying vines is a hack and average inside mid, while correct right now, are dead wrong when it comes to his potential (based off his shown ability. Like almost every player on our list, his development has gone backwards.
He has a MASSIVE weapon in quick fire handballs that hit targets, but it appears that he has had ZERO coaching put into him and to teach him how to utilise this weapon.
With even a small amount of coaching, his handballs could be huge for attacking setups, hitting guys mid sprint for plays forward.

But nope, he appears to have done no work on this, or his basic skills.

The same goes for almost everyone else on our list. Basic skills have gone backwards, and no one has made themselves a better player.

Something is severely wrong at the PFC

The symptoms are shithouse skills and zero game plan, but the root cause comes back to a coach completely out of his depth, who is void of ideas, and has got his way in creating a lopsided team.

Just watch him on game day. Every time they cut to him in the box, he’s just sitting there in la la land. Never ever touches the phone, never speaks or even sits near any other coaches.
Hinkley just sits there expressionless, looking like he’s about to tear up and cry.

It’s fu(king depressing to watch.

The grandchild must've got hold of the account lol

aren't we on record saying we don't coach skills because anyone drafted to the system is skilled enough? whether that was recently or like 10 years ago it's seemingly still accurate. i do believe however that Jonas and Clurey have a specalised boxing coach cos all they do is try to punch the ball

The law clearly states whoever smelt it dealt it thunderfest. ;)

There's the thundercloud we know and love. Trying and failing to make some sort of obtuse point, and not being able to use the quote function.
A poor attempt at trying to cover their tracks.

I've reported you for slander.

Ken sits there in the box looking dumb founded about what to do.

Meanwhile Fagan is down on the boundary giving instruction and encouragement to his players. Brisbane are an exciting team, full of energy and hunger and that starts with their coach.

Sack Hinkley before he further damages our younger crop.

There was something about Fagan that over the past year or two looked familiar and I couldn't put my finger on it until now and that is there's a little bit of J. Cahill in him

There was something about how we don't practice goal kicking because it's a waste of time when time can be spent on other things. This dated back to our 2014 season where we we've been a notoriously bad goal kicking team outside a select players.

He has gots to go!

Make the most of this list ASAP because in a year or two we lose Gray, Boak, Ebert, Rockliff and Westhoff +/- Bartlett, Watts, Motlop and Dixon - are gone. Whilst we will have got some time in Rozee, Butters, Duursma, etc and still have Lycett, Jonas, Clurey and, maybe, Wines, we will be back to list building time. But we know that Port, as with most sides, gets a new coach bounce. So let’s get someone new in who might get this current list over the line before a new list has to be built.

The problem with Hinkley is that he isn't a competent tactical coach...
This seems to weight in favour of Hinkley staying on the ground. Let him be closer the players, while someone with a better tactical sense watch the game from above.

Seems to weight in favour of just sacking him and getting someone who is competent. ;)

That too, but it was beyond the point in contention! :)

A number of people have argued in recent years that Hinkley just needs better assistants to cover for his lack of competence in many areas. So rather than addressing the root cause we just keep treating the symptoms.
