Your recycled talking points are noted.

Are you forgetting where the Power were at on field when Ken took over?
He took the Power from a rabble to within a kick of a grand final in just 2 years, losing the prelim to a triple premiership side.

Also, Ken is a 2x AFLCA coach of the year.
You don't win coach of the year if you can't coach, let alone win it twice.

They'd be great to watch as a neutral.

As a Port fan however....

Yeah nah, the ultra defensive and pressure game is pretty hard to watch for any footy fan. What makes it worse is a forward entries that turns some of our games into dumpster fires. Constant chaos balls in the forward line is not great football especially when it comes straight back out.

Yeah, thanks for this. Now go to bed and don’t wake up for a long, long time.

Exactly. Just like captain of the year...

Kenny for the win! Sorry folks just saw this site today, when looking for the vibe on port for tonight’s game. Geez what a thread! Does the list manager get blamed at all, or is this the best list in the comp over the last few years that should have been winning flags? Players seem to like him and if it’s game plan , then isn’t it on the whole MC?

Chris Davies is worshiped around here. A lot of people blame Hinkley or our forwards coach Nathan Bassett.

When you have a performance review at work do you lean on things that you did 10 years ago? I’m guessing you don’t because they’re just not relevant anymore. Those dollarydoos have been well and truly spent.

But to Ken’s credit he’s earning more of them and if he wins the flag this year I think it’s fair and reasonable to consider not sacking him for at least a few days afterwards.

OK, so we all know what happens to this guy when the prize goes on the line. Forever the bridesmaid, never the bride. Be it as a player in three losing grand finals, a player in finishing second in the Brownlow or multiple one kick preliminary final defeats as coach, we all know how this ends for our man.

So here's my proposal. Ken stands down on full pay for one month. Alastair Clarkson, newly released from his Hawthorn coaching duties, assumes control of the team on a big money, one month contract. Once we've won the flag, Ken can come back and share in some of the glory.

Ken's just taken the Power to back to back top 2 finishes.
First coach since Choco to do so.
Most home and away wins for the Power since 2004.

How did 2004 end up again? With the last 2004 premiership player (Silk Burgoyne) retiring from footy, it makes sense for the Power to win the flag this year so that in 2022, we can still say that the AFL has a Port Adelaide premiership player running around.
