It'd be poetic - a 100 point loss on the ground where he played his home games.

I can imagine him beaming on the sidelines as his beloved cats set a record against him

Hinkley will either hang on as long as he can or try to ditch before that unwanted record.

It comes down to the fact that if he left a little while back he was probably still employable, maybe a head coach role but probably not, but certainly would have had his pick of assistant roles.

Once he gets turfed from port he’s incredibly unlikely to ever even get a head coaching interview invite much less a job.

Assistant coaching roles would be very scarce for him as well now.

So he will hold on I think.

I understand your point but Hinkley was right about that.

Their work rate in the first quarter was abhorrent, reeked of a team bereft of confidence and that hasn’t “bought in” the coach’s plan

They play like they’re in shackles, no instinct, indecisive with no killer instinct.

Spot on.

A long lasting trait of Hinkleyism.

This exactly summarises how I perceive him also.

His next move is basically, Ken Hinkley Motors Geelong "We're Working Harderer for you"
As long as it happens soonerer, rather than laterer.

Press Conf tomorrow at 3pm.

Here it is.

The extension we've all been waiting for.

Probably a player talking about ANZAC round.
Whilst its nice to dream, especially with Koch MIA on sunrise this morning (emergency board meeting perhaps ?) but realistically it will be just a standard press conference where we will get the same BS we've been hearing the last 5 weeks.

If he'd been sacked, surely there would be whispers.

Do you remember when Ken said he didn't want the sugar hit of finals? Now forget about contending for a premiership, old Kenneth is now talking about just making finals, the very sugar hit he didn't want a few years ago when they missed finals 4 out of 5 years (at the conclusion of the 2019 season).

We should give.his payout in slabs of coke rather than a monetary figure. Ken can have all the sugar hits he wants then.
Give his payout in bags of chicken salt. He'd like that.

He prob just doesn't work on sunrise on public holidays

The chances are that Ken will at least see the season out. I have not heard Koch say anything that suggests the Board has had a light bulb moment and suddenly lost faith in Ken. If someone has read otherwise please put the link up and I will reconsider. If Ken goes before the end of the season I will be pleasantly surprised.

Maybe, but I note that Kochie has been silent since the showdown loss. We’ve been embarrassed twice since and are now 0-5. Not a peep from Kochie when he’d usually publicly support Ken.

If you’re a glass half full kind of guy, you’d say the wheels are beginning to turn

the green mile prison GIF

Hinkley getting walked out of the club.

Could be related to AFLW

Announcing that Erin Phillips is joining the club would be some good news distraction right about now

As would Ken stepping down. I like you lot losing as much as the next Crows supporter, but it’s clear to everyone that it’s time for a change

Maybe announce Erin as your next senior coach. Everyone’s happy

It's aspartame hits he wants
