Anyway, Kane Corner's point is ridiculous. The AFL system is set up to share the premierships around. It is designed on purpose so that clubs can build through the draft, have a period of challenging for a flag, then drop away to come up through the draft again. It's what you do during your time as a challenger that counts, and Clarkson made the absolute most of his time there.
