Port Adelaide FC is two things now:
1. An AFLW side
2. A super slow motion trainwreck.

Maybe it's hopefull semantics by me but he didn't actually say Ken will be coaching port next year.
He said Ken's contracted for next year's and there's no discussion about it.....yet. I would think at the point of Port being mathematically out of the finals race then there might be discussion about it.
Those who have stood up and disagreed have been pushed out, leaving the yes men. That's how we avoid disagreements. No disagreement amongst the coaches,?. Schoey thought he would sign on and then all of a sudden move state did he.
Medocrity accepting

He lives in Sydney. He’s very condescending isn’t he?
Darren Cahill is an AFL appointee probably recommend by Koch. If Darren openly disagrees with Koch he'll be off the board toot sweet.Where is Darren Cahill whilst all of this is happening? Surely someone with a high performance coaching background AND from a famous PAFC family who knows what the club stands for can't sit there and accept this trash?
I can imagine him after a meeting with the boys at Alberton, getting to his car and complaining and trying to get the scum off his $600 shoes with his hanky and mumbling, bloody shit hole.He lives in Sydney.
This is all so bizzare.Darren Cahill is an AFL appointee probably recommend by Koch. If Darren openly disagrees with Koch he'll be off the board toot sweet.
The majority of our board is appointed to look after the AFL's interests, not those of the members.

It's not so bizarre, it's just that the club still likes the members to believe that the club is actually run for the members. As members we get to vote for two board members but those board members still need to be approved by the AFL. This goes back to the deal we did with the SNAFL in order to get an AFL licence. We may have broken free from the SNAFL but in reality the AFL have just taken over. This is all so bizzare.

I'm not saying he is but he'll be being ignored or out voted if he is not agreeing with Koch. I would expect him to become disillusioned before too long because he's a serious sports professional who has the interests of the club at heart. This definitely isn't just an ego booster for Darren like it is for Koch. There's no way Darren Cahill is sitting on our board as an AFL puppet and/or Koch yes man. He's not some pissant C-grade Australian businessperson ala most AFL board appointees, he's a serious sports professional who has the interests of the club at heart. He needs to stand up and act.
There's a difference between he's contracted for 2023 and remaining at Port Adelaide in 2023.
Koch was asked if Hinkley would be coaching at Ports in 2023 and he answered that Hinkley is contracted so there is no discussion about it which I take as Koch saying that Hinkley's contract will be honoured. There's a difference between he's contracted for 2023 and remaining at Port Adelaide in 2023.

Which is why no matter how much Darren wants to do the right thing by the club he'll always be out voted by the likes of Koch, Cardone and Ransom et al whose loyalties and agendas lie elsewhere. So he is the odd one out then?
We don't don't have much hope then. It's not so bizarre, it's just that the club still likes the members to believe that the club is actually run for the members. If he said Hinkley will be coaching Port in 2023 I'd be worried but he didn't.Koch was asked if Hinkley would be coaching at Ports in 2023 and he answered that Hinkley is contracted so there is no discussion about it which I take as Koch saying that Hinkley's contract will be honoured.

That is what he said.If he said Hinkley will be coaching Port in 2023 I'd be worried but he didn't.
Oh ok. I thought he only said he's contracted for 2023 and there's no discussion. That is what he said.
