That's a `dead man walking' pic if ever I've seen one, looking at that I almost feel sorry for the bloke.

Hey guys...not here to poke the bear. But as someone who has a lot of family and friends who are Port supporters I can't agree more Ken needs to go. His record against the best sides has been consistently poor and its never changed. He isnt a bad coach but his style is proven to be unsuccessful. SA Footy is better when we have two strong teams and frankly, Port have a squad who should be better than what they are.

You know he has been around to long when even crows supporters are like... Yeah maybe time for him to go..

So if Hinkley is contracted for 2023 and stays in the job, the question is why?

If the board, see the poor v top 8 win percentage, the poor close game record, the 10 years with no GF record, and still see Ken as their man, then surely the only logical thing to do is to extend him right?

They’ve seen his record and have seen enough this year to keep him in the job. What result next year will change what they’ve seen? What outcome next year changes Ken’s contract status - a premiership? Finals?

Point is, Ken should be finished after this loss. He said it’s premiership or bust and we aren’t even playing finals. There is a body of work to examine. Write this season off due to injuries and bad luck, but what about the other 9 (or 6 where we didn’t finish top 4 with a chance to win it).

Side note - considering Koch and the Board’s support of Ken, this is no longer a sack Ken issue. This is a remove Koch, Ken and the board issue. They’ve made this mistake. They’ve put their chips in with him time and time again. They’ve lead us to our longest premiership drought, whilst we still remain in debt, still fight for members and sponsors, look no better than our cross town rivals who have the worst list going around and had the poor planning and lack of perspective to produce the 3 flags, debt free etc BS by 2025. We aren’t remotely close to challenging for one flag and won’t by 2025, let alone 3. They have over seen this - time they go. Sack the Board! Sack Koch! Sack Ken!

You answered your own question - he is contracted.

The only time I have heard Hinkley admit he was wrong was the 2013 final against Geelong when he said we went too defensive in the 2nd half.

Not once has he said that he got the match ups or team selections wrong over the years.

Always quick to blame the players saying they don't work hard enough. Not the players fault that they have one hand tied behind their back before they even run out onto the ground due to Hinkley's negative gameplan.

Enough is enough.
