He and the playing group were clearly cooked five games into last year, how he has managed to cling on is obscene.
What do the admin expect from a team and coach who are so utterly disconnected?

The only positive is I expect a 2012 to 13 type jump when the new coach comes in next year.

You need to lower your expectations, I don’t see lighting striking twice

The talent is there, much like 12, just lacking in the coaches box and, probably, fitness staff.

Other than Carr all other coaches are out of contract this year correct?

Bets on what the excuses will be when we lose?

‘Gee, they’re a good side aren’t they? No, we knew they’d be a challenge, especially through midfield. And we talked about how we couldn’t allow their forwards to get a hold of us…. mmmm… Gunston broke Fred Fanning’s record did he? I would’ve thought ‘Jonah’ broke even, so that’s interesting…’

I'm sensing a theme here

But he didn't play against Freo so virtually the same team which makes the comment ridiculous

I thought he meant in general, not specific to the practice match.

On the plus side, big ups to the Kangan institute for JHF. Looks like an absolute ripper and probs the only positive of our preseason.

I agree that we have some very good talent on the list, but they are being ruined by this coaching group. At least in 12 the coaching group at the time were trying to develop the younger players, the current group are going back to the senior players who are either out of form, injured or past their best over young players. And no I’m not saying just play the others regardless of how poor their SANFL form is - if they earn it play them..

Lets be honest, this guy is a genius. Who else could bluff for so long that he was capable of doing his highly paid job and yet be so s**t at it? If it wasnt so heartbreaking it would be impressive.
He's only had to convince Koch and our bobblehead board which doesn't really need genius-level bluffing...sketchy car salesman level gets it done.

He looked really good when he had the ball or when it was in close vicinity, he needs to work on the defensive side of his game in transition but I am sure that will come with time. We rated him highly for a reason.

Everything I've seen so far, including his time at North, he's a huge talent that's still very raw. Hopefully we can help him contain that aggression a little while he develops.

Any other club and it'd have been years of hilarity for us. We're both stuck with Hinkley and unable to enjoy the joke everyone else is on the right side of.

Double ups against Collingwood, Adelaide, Geelong, Richmond, Essendon and the Western Bulldogs this year more or less guarantees this team isn't coming close to making finals.

They bye is after 14 games. I've got them at 5-9 at this point going into the bye with two consecutive losses against the Dogs and Geelong.

If my prediction is correct I wouldn't be surprised if the Club move him on at that point. I don't think they will move on him any earlier unless they have another 0-5 start to the year. But my goodness if he is able to find his way to another contract from here they could start calling him Teflon.

As of right now, there's got to be a minimum of a 90% chance this is his last year.
