As of right now, there's got to be a minimum of a 90% chance this is his last year.

I'd suggest it's higher than that.

What is a pass mark? I don't think scraping into finals is going to cut it. If they win a final I think that probably gets him another year for better or worse.

But the odds of even making finals let alone winning one must be pretty remote at this point. Even last year's pre season despite the bad HC game had some redemption with a win over the Crows. This pre season they've looked horrendous. It started as a sloppy internal trial glossed over because the players know all the tactics, but my goodness it's been horrific to watch these last two games. I can't recall another Port team under Hinkley who looks so bereft of ideas so soon in the year.

Ken to me has always been a good coach when it comes to getting the team ready for round 1. They are consistently good in dry weather the first month of the year bar 2022. Unless we see a dramatic shift, they're going to be uphill all season.

It’s staggering that it’s taken this long for the see-saw to tip into majority discontent.

Even if you give him maximum credit for 13 and 14, and look as favourably as possible on 20 and 21, that’s still clear unders for a 10+ year reign that has ultimately reaped nothing.

I suspect with his `Handbrake Hinkley' reference that Crowie may be doing just a little bit of sh*t stirring by trying to make a comparison between kern, and a Melbourne jockey from a few decades back who went by the name `Handbrake Harry' White.

Problem is, the damage is done. Our list had a premiership window and it closed 2 years ago. We are playing a number of corpses.

Good luck to the next coach. They’ll need it…

What do you think it does to team culture/player morale when you give an underperforming DBJ a 3 year contract extension and the retention of vice captaincy? Or a decaying, injured-riddled 30 year old Lycett another year as the number one ruck?

What message does that send to players other than Port Adelaide is not a meritocracy, but a boys club lead by a perennial AFL loser who cares more about if you buy into a greyhound than winning games of football?

We are so far gone.
