The best thing Ken did for Ken was letting Kane Cornes retire early after playing 300 games to become a fireman. If Kane applied the same criticism to Ken as he did/does (whenever he gets the opportunity) to Primus, Ken would've been gone 12+ months ago.

I’m all for the protesting to get rid of Hinkley and Koch, but unfortunately all that is definitely going to be overshadowed by Robbie Gray’s farewell.

Clarko is going to the Chris Rock show tonight, then the Mark of Cain shows tomorrow and Friday night

Just wondering how long people think he will last in 2023 if he coaches. Will he survive the year? Will he get us to finals and leave on his own accord?
I reckon he gets to rd 8 2023 then sacked after another poor start. Probably will have a softer draw which makes it interesting.
Don’t dislike ken but should have been moved on!
No doubt some posters will be right when we look back!
Just wondering if you’re an idiot?

My philosophy has always been 'If you're not winning a flag, you need to be building your list so it can win a flag'. You wanna live in the past, I live in the future.
...
Has anyone ever floated to you the concept of past behaviour being an indicator of future behaviour?

Based on your past behaviour, you are going to say yes of course they have, followed by a long winded smugly worded ultimately nonsensical rebuttal as to why that doesn't count for Ken Hinkley.

So serious question if you think Ken staying is closer to getting to our next flag, do you see Ken as being here in 2023 as acceptable because:

1. You think we cant compete next year anyway and you think saving the money will get us closer to a flag under the next coach?

Or

2. You seriously think there is still a chance Ken delivers a flag?
It’s a simple equation - you either think 2020 and 2021 were the aberrations and guys like Rozee, Powell-Pepper and Marshall having career best seasons this year is a mirage…which means that this year is normal transmission because Hinkley is shit and can’t develop players.

Or you think that 2020 and 2021 were a natural progression and 2022 was a blip due to injuries and fixtures that had us playing every top eight side away from home, and that with a better run from Dixon and Fantasia at the start of the season + Finlayson being up to speed with the gameplan + Rozee and Butters improving + getting a decent player like Dunkley in…that we will have a good year regardless.

2023 will answer your question.

Or what about 15, 16, 17, 18, 19?

I've tuned in to 360 tonight and last night for all the Essendon/North/Clarkson stuff. Haven't watched it all year and i'd almost completely forgotten how grotesque Mark Robinson is.

He was next level drunk last night, even for him.

Why is it far-fetched? If he's committed to norf and sees JHF as a potential flight risk, coming and speaking to his parents in person to assure them that he's there for the long haul would just make sense.

Also, I wouldn't trust that little man - snake in the grass. Some on here may not remember or were too young, but when he left for hawthorn end of 2004, he basically did what he could to take every quality Port person with him.

Like I said, he's always had a hard-on for Port
A) clarko hasn’t committed to north

- his manager said he hasn’t made a decision yet
  • north have said they are still waiting for an answer from Clarkson
  • essendon wouldn’t have sacked Rutten if Clarko was already off the table

B) why would a coach need to speak to the parents of a fully grown contracted man on norths list?

What could he have to say to them that they don’t know?

C) why would a busy professional man need to travel across the country to talk to people when the telephone has existed for over a century?

Yeah or blight says that but into the forgettery is that he has already bailed on us once with GCS
If Ken does something inconsistent with outstanding moral character, it doesn't count.

If Ken does something really quite basic, it's considered the pillar of being a noble sports person.

His name is Kenny Hinkley.

He is an honourable man.

First, I dont mind Hinkley. He seems like a decent fellow and the players obviously like him but it is definitely time for change, but holding up pieces of paper saying Sack Hinkley isn't going to accomplish jack sh@t. You think the club doesn't know that some "supporters" (and I use that term loosely) dont want him there.... Of course they know. You think that the club will think, "Wow, those 20/30 supporters must be serious because they bought a whole ream of paper to print this on, we better do something"???? Not going to happen.

Unless North offer him something this year (as per the rumor) Ken will be here next year. Unless he wins the '23 GF, he'll be gone next year and that's it.

Acting like idiots isn't going to help anything except make the club, the players and the supporters look stupid.

As I said before, be careful as meme's live forever...
Yeah sure - he said himself that if he didn't make the Grand Final this year he wouldn't be coach of Port Adelaide.

NEWSFLASH - HE"S STILL HERE!
