And the thing is, it’s not like we’re part of a monolithic groundswell against him — I’m already reading the usual “ah well, at least we won 13-in-a-row / nobody expected us to be this high on the ladder / we’ll win it next year once we add playerXYZ” downgrading twaddle from the masses.
Wel I hope the happy clappers clapped the boys off the ground after the Showdown, walker wanted to win that game more than the whole Port team, they made us look like a reserves team.
Well get used to it that's who we are now thanks to you happy clappers that have ruined 150 years of winning traditions and standards second to none.

33 year old suspended for racist remarks almost outscores our 22 by himself. How's the stability?

I posted a while back that I expect Hinkley to be given a two year extension because we have made finals but we will bomb out in straight sets.

My belief now is that Hinkley signed a contract extension during the bye and that the club will announce this at the end of the minor round, Monday August 28. The players know that Hinkley's job has been saved so for them it's mission accomplished and the way they have played since the bye reflects this.
If you read the tea leaves and with Hinkleyball back, I am definitely worried.

Even something as simple as Wines on the wing and Drew with an ineffective tag last week was not in keeping with our winning streak.

It also might mean that Carr has or will put his tactical nous in the rack.

Hinkleyball needs Dixon contested marking out of his mind to win.

And if all this is the case, the lads got a taste of some good coaching and may not be too happy with Hinkley going around again.

It is possible lacklustre performances may be a thing again when the players know the coaching is an obstacle to winning.

And then again we are 2nd and might get our stuff together.

What a crazy year.

  • Extend Hinkley too early
  • Fall agonisingly short again (maybe in a GF this time instead of another PF because why not?)
  • Lose Josh Carr
  • Get Grundy, Ratugolea etc. and have “missing piece” memes on social media running rampant.
  • Be flag favourites for 2024
  • Finish 10th
  • Remain stuck with Hinkley
I might have to keep this post for prosperity.

I think you will find during the streak we were working harder than the opposition and now we have stopped working harder and as Kenny says it's time for the boys to work harder and we will get back to our winning ways 💪 GO POWER

Ken has been given a two year contract extension with a trigger for a third(unsure of what KPI exactly). Will be announced Monday or Tuesday after Geelong game if Port win. The club know a win all but secures a top 4 spot.

There is no talks or planned succession plan.
And what if we don't win?

This could get very interesting if they're waiting for a win to announce an extension. It's entirely possible we don't win another game this year.
In that case, I hope we don't win another game this season.

How sad is this, 5 games to go sitting second on the ladder and we are in the position where losing games is what’s best for the club, because a late season capitulation might be the only thing that saves us from the fraud being extended

The Football Club is truly broken

You have to see the comical side of this really.

Announce an August timeline for a decision in the pre season fully anticipating the usual 10th place finish and a clean break at the end of the home and away season.

Daddy flukes 13 in a row to cement a finals position in July and force the club's hand on a contract extension.

Enter August on a 3 game losing streak that most good judges expect will stretch to at least 5 and possibly 7 throughout August.

Now desperately hoping we win another game at some point so they can announce said decision on the promised August timeline but not on the back of an increasingly lengthy losing streak.

What an embarrassment of a club, seriously.

If we keep losing it will be pretty funny watching it all blow up in their faces again.

By "player driven" you would have to think threats were made, ie "if Ken isn't re-appointed I will be seeking a trade back to Victoria the first chance I get". If this is all true, and he gets another contract because of it, this entire club can go and get f**ked. I'll be absolutely done. Hope they collect the next 10 spoons.

Lol. Just when you think the people that run the Club formerly known as Port Adelaide couldn't be any more stupid....

So this bloke is going to go 13 years of not winning anything. I give him credit for somehow making a so called Professional organisation look so stupid. It is a fair effort.
