I don't agree with everything that's been written in this thread, but I take exception to the claim that excessive negativity somehow makes an author of such a post less of a Port fan than others. This forum is full of passionate Port fans who love their club, and are desperate to see change, because a continuation of what's happened over the last decade is taking us nowhere.
Passion is one thing but I find some of the language used appalling and unnecessary. It is also cowardly in the sense that few would do it without the veil of anonymity internet forums provide. Each to their own I guess.

If McKenzie had stayed relatively healthy over the journey, he’d have been one of those 4-5 x AA defenders like Corey Enright or Ben Hart.

To think he’s 31 and still playing at such a solid standard despite a medical record as long as Tredrea’s is impressive.

4-5 x AA, bloody hell I need to lift my game.

Yeah I like him, when in form and not carrying some bullshit he is a very good defender.

The semaphore TAB is gone now but I entered that venue twice in my life. I saw Hinkley there both times lol

I honestly hope he's blown the millions we've paid him at the track, and after we finally give him the boot he has to do those shitty sportsman's night things at country pubs getting paid a few hundred bucks and a free counter meal...

His rookie year numbers playing in a binfire Suns outfit as an 18/19yo were excellent.

Could play anywhere on the park bar ruck.

Nice size, deceptively quick, left foot like a laser-guided missile system, strong mark (intercept or contested), could win his own footy.

One of the lowkey “if only injuries didn’t f#%k him up” that’s a shames of the past decade or so.

How long was he on the outer for after being torched by Stringer that time early on with us?

😁 I keep seeing these being advertised at the Parafield Gardens Hotel on facebook, they've got SPP, Duursma and Dixon coming up

Best win: Gold Coast 15.14 (104) def Port Adelaide 15.11 (101), Football Park, round five 2011

The Suns have managed just one win in 13 visits to South Australia, but it was a significant one. The competition's newbies were beaten by an average of 93 points in their first three games at the elite level and trailed by as much as 40 points late in the third quarter against Port Adelaide. Back-to-back last-quarter goals to a fresh-faced Charlie Dixon sparked a furious fightback by Guy McKenna's men, who scored six goals to two to hit the front with just over two minutes remaining. Justin Westhoff had a chance to win it from just inside 50 after the siren but pushed his set shot wide, to the delight of a Gold Coast coaches’ box that included Ken Hinkley.
