No we were supportive of it, the problem was the person who was the 'face' of the effort and who started the petition came across as an uneducated fool no one would take seriously.

Both had Port 5th

Apparently Koch said something along the lines of We Exist to Win Premierships doesn't matter any more, it's irrelevant. It's all about wins and losses.
This ******* is everything PAFC is not, he has absolutely no idea what it means to be successful or how to get us there.

Isn’t this off the back of that consultancy firm that suggested tacking on “and Make Our Community Proud” because “We Exist To Win Premierships” was deemed ‘unrealistic’ or ‘impossible to live up to’?

Which is obviously a catastrophic misunderstanding of the mission statement.

You can go without a premiership for 100 years but still exist to win one — there’s a reason Timmy used it as the capstone on his Churchillian rev-up just as the Hinkley Era was moments from beginning.

Imagine what we'd of thought in 2015 if someone told us, Hinkley after delivering 0 premierships, zero GF appearances and 3 (maybe 4 at the end of this year) lost prelims, that his tenure as coach would possibly outlast the career of Chad Wingard

Literally hasn’t stopped waffling on about how good Kenny is all season, “he aced the exam” but is still only in charge of the 5th best club in his 11th year without a flag.

I think hes just a dickhead that loves Ken Hinkley for some reason, who knows maybe they're tied up in something together......
His contract was expiring, we stood nothing to lose by just letting him go.

Not just nothing to lose, but also everything to gain. I believe that Josh Carr has served a decent apprenticeship, and is cherry ripe NOW for a senior coaching role. But thanks to this brainless decision, we won't find out for at least another couple of years.

If Mitchell spontaneously combusted tomorrow and Ken was available absolutely!
I think most supporters of other teams would.

Obviously I haven't followed his career as closely as you guys but it seems from the outside that he has made some very good calls and no real screw ups.

The players love him, he trades and drafts well and his gameday tactics have him with the third best win/loss ratio in the game (Better than Clarkson btw).

Hence my bewilderment at this thread

Except Clarkson won 4 flags. Ken has won a lot of minor round games, but when the September blow torch is applied, he rarely has any answers. I'd love for 2023 to be different, but I won't be putting money on it.
