If Mitchell spontaneously combusted tomorrow and Ken was available absolutely!
I think most supporters of other teams would.

You only say this because you are 100% certain Mitchell isn't going to spontaneously combust tomorrow, and this will never be tested.

Nice to see some cool calm and collected responses to the news today…
Imagine being a West Coast fan, and coming to terms with the fact that your team is actually sitting below a team that's lost its last 19 games :).

They can't delete or hide tweets.

Facebook and Instagram comments, on the other hand...
Only one is the real representation.

Obviously I haven't followed his career as closely as you guys but it seems from the outside that he has made some very good calls and no real screw ups.

The players love him, he trades and drafts well and his gameday tactics have him with the third best win/loss ratio in the game (Better than Clarkson btw).

Hence my bewilderment at this thread
No chance this would happen, they wouldn't even make the call to Hinkley. Richmond and the Suns this year, Essendon & North last year and none of them put a mammoth deal to Hinkley.

You know like Clarko & Hardwick got...
Between the three of them there are 7 Premierships and 8 Grand Final appearances and Hinkley contributes 0 of each. I wonder if that has something to do with Hinkley not getting poached.

I guess we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

He was always going to get extended if we finished top 4. I'd made peace with that several weeks ago.

I just want the club to succeed, if they win a flag i couldn't care less who the coach is and i'm not going to worry about hypothetical straight sets finals exits.

Of course if it happens i'll be ropeable. But right now the season is still live and we are actually well and truly in the race.
Yeah we can't pick and choose when to win a flag - they're so hard to win, and if it happens this year, I for one will celebrate long and hard. But I would have been more confident about it happening with someone else as senior coach.

So let me get this right, because I cannot believe this is what we signed up for.

Hinkley‘s history with Port Adelaide

2013: lost Semi Final
2014: lost Prelim Final

Start of 2015, extended to 2018
2015: 9th
2016: 10th

2017: lost Elimination Final

Late 2017, Extended to 2021
2018: 10th
2019: 10th

2020: lost Prelim Final

Early 2021, Extended to 2023
2021: lost Prelim Final (smashed by Dogs)
2022: finished 11th
2023: Finished Top 4

Comtract ends 2023, Extended to 2025
2024: ? (history says we miss finals)
2025: ? (history says we make finals and re sign Ken)

It almost certainly wont happen, Hinkley's record proves this.
If he does, the BS Hinkley & Koch will come out with will will be unbearable.

Oh well! Let’s just hope the players can jag a premiership somehow despite Ken and if we don’t then.. well, Nothing! There’s no accountability for anyone running this club, If we fail then it’s just status quo, Rince and repeat, No one gets held accountable. They could at least tell us what the acceptable result is for the remainder of the year but the club’s no doubt too pissweak to even do that

While Richardson declares we’re “Chasing Greatness™”;

Hinkley repeatedly boasts of delivering a flag;

And select players are wheeled out to say ill-advised things about ‘hating’ the opposition prior to rivalry games.

And when it routinely ends in tears, embarrassment and humiliation, they all stand back and allow the Gerard Whateleys, Andy Mahers and Graham Corneses to take snide potshots at the fans and the likes of Warren for daring to ask why the f#%k nobody’s head is even close to rolling after 10+ seasons.

🎶It’s the cirrrrrrcle of Porrrrrt!

I reckon Stickerman has never been more relevant than right now. I'd love him to go to work tonight, plastering the full length of Port Road with Sack Hinkley signs - the timing would be perfect.

I'm sorry, what?

The time for protests was before the new contract. Anything now would have zero meaning, apart from proving that some people have trouble with reality.
