3. Port said 3 flags in 5 years, Ken has won only one final in 5 years

Just to further this, the goal they were aiming for was 3 flags across all levels, so AFL, AFLW and SANFL. I can excuse the women’s side because obviously it’s an uphill battle to try and contend in only 2 years while 14 other teams have some sort of headstart, but having the SANFL as part of it was such a massive cop out.
As if a SANFL flag would mean anything close to winning an AFL flag. And even if it came close, we couldn’t even do it, our development is so garbage that our team with professional players who aren’t in the AFL side is being beaten by semi-pro players most of the time. They knew 3 in 5 years was going to be hard so they put in some filler to make it easier to accomplish and even then they still couldn’t get it done. Absolutely piss weak.

True and a lot of them we were lucky to get over the line. The Melbourne win and possibly the dogs win was the best of the lot. The others were stock standard and we still had glaring holes in defense. One of the worst in the competition if our mids arnt getting their hands on it.

Well a smart man would have been playing younger guys at the end of the season when we were losing with injured players.

People will cop that new players probably won't win you games but Hinkley rode these corpses into the ground where we end up playing with 14 players making any contribution. And why not play Fantasia Round 22-23 maybe just maybe he might have not got injured.

B) an injured McKenzie



Since when have we had a key defender show good form in the magpies?

Has Trent , clurey , Jonas , Howard , Austin… has any of them looked good at sanfl level?


Pasinis pre-acl form at the magpies was the best form I’ve seen from a key defender at the magpies as far back as I can remember. Maybe ever.

Post acl his form is no worse than any of the guys at afl level has shown.

There’s been no reason not to pick him and every reason to pick him during this season.

The extension of Hinkley and the timing of it was perplexing to say the least. This is a guy who was a dead man walking at round 3. Its just more proof that we have been turned into a club who no longer prioritises success. Being mediocre is good enough to get an extension with us and its rotted all the way through to the players.

All Koch and the board care about is winning more games in the regular season than we lose and getting 30k in attendance, not to mention looking after Hinkley.

Winning finals and success means nothing to this club.

The only reason to give Hinkley the extension that he got was to protect him form when we bombed out of the finals.
