Port waived the 6 month payout clause when they re-signed Hinkley in early 2021 in exchange for a lower salary. It's why Koch and the Board couldn't sack him at the end of 2022 - as it was cost prohibitive paying out a full year which would have also obliterated their soft cap.

The incompetence of management running the show right now truly beggars belief.

If media speculation about whether Ken will be the coach or not is the reason our players underperform in finals than they are weak and were never gunna win anything anyway.

The first part is incredibly likely. The second is not.

Koch is safe as long as the AFL has his back. Us making up the numbers and boosting the 'interstate' ratings for games is all the AFL need from us in the short term. In the long term, they only need us to not drain resources too much. As long as the club hits those KPI's, Koch is safe. He is too much of a small business dictator to leave under his own steam.

I don't want us to lose either my problem is I have absolutely no faith in Hinkley. I don't want to get into a big back and forth but its like Cornes keeps harping on about holes in our team its always anything but the elephant in the room. HINKLEY.
