It would be counter productive to go cap in hand to the AFL asking for more soft cap spend, while at the same time having to pay out 2 years.

I think some people might need to temper their expectations.

The board currently has an emphasis on being very frugal (a city hall directive), there is no way that city hall will endorse a substantial pay out.

So what you are saying is the afl is looking for a job to give ken because he is a friggin genius. Gold coast are also looking for assistance. Afl is looking to combine these two issues for a positive outcome. Ken can't stay at port for another year. On the gold coast he will be an anonymous hero.

If they’d have gone full-scale youth this year we’d have probably been here on around the same number of wins, but with 15+ games pumped into Rozee, Butters, Duursma, Drew, Marshall, Garner, Atley, Ladhams and Farrell.

I have us winning 3/4 and crows 2/4

This Club really does think every single supporter has no idea and a few words from the President or CEO, throw in a couple of draft picks, maybe a C/B grader from somewhere where they are not wanted - to prove how much belief there is in 'our' ways - and we'll be right back here again next year playing to crowds of 10-15k.

Koch is weak, has no idea on anything football, and is the cause of where we are now.

Guys, guys, we should calm down. The club is aware of the pressure and I think at this point we can assure ourselves that we will either make the finals or get rid of Ken. If I'm wrong which I really hope I'm not then we'll add more fuel to the fire, but stand back for the moment.
