An average of 130 last year compared to 102 is just one of the reasons you shouldn;t relate Goddard to Deledio.

Preseason form can be a fickle way to judge a players value. Adcock has been flying through the pre season, but so have alot of players. Jason Blake has had a great pre season but we all know from the past that he will not be a big scorer. If Adcock stays on the park he should be good, but regardless of pre seasons Deledio will be better for the year. Adcock also carry's the massive risk of injury.

Jed Adcock, $333,000, played down back and was serviceable, finishing with 55DT for the game. Adcock goes missing in games too often for my liking. Add that to his shaky body, Brisbane’s rough year ahead and the R4 bye shared with Goddard, Fisher, Lake and Gilbee – I think there are better selections out there.

I haven't seen him play obviously, but this suggests he wasn't the best. That to go with injury concerns.

A consistent 100 point scorer is a rarity in the backline. I think it would be a pretty bad option to not have the main three Goddrad, Gibbs and Lids

Hibberd, Heppell, Toy, Tarrant, Duigan, Otten (if fully fit) etc could all serve the same purpose. Only thing is you save $1-200k at the start of the year and they are more likely to have a greater increase in price.

Up to you though, he could defy his own body and get back to his 07 days.

I don't know where you heard Adcock had been flying through the preseason but that's news to me as a Lions supporter. He missed the first double header, has played the next three, but has hardly set the world alight.

I'll probably stick with that format but was considering swapping Lids with Broughton.

Deledio has proven more durable but is he ever going to reach his potential, at least in SC terms?

He doesn't really need to reach his potential, as a defender 100 points is sufficient. If he wasn't available as a defender I believe he would be in very few teams.

Because he's not in our top 22 players. Have a look at our board with who everyone thinks will be in our starting team round 1 if you don't agree.

And that's not to say he can't or won't play, but it's not likely he's going to be stringing games along at this stage.

Because he's not in our top 22 players. Have a look at our board with who everyone thinks will be in our starting team round 1 if you don't agree.

And that's not to say he can't or won't play, but it's not likely he's going to be stringing games along at this stage.

Duigan in front of Laidler at this stage and at half the price.

Laidler will play but will have to perform to keep his spot in the team. Can see him playing some games with the Bullants at stages this year.
