Drummond won't play round 1. He's had a quad strain at training so will be out for 4+ weeks.

Merge = the mods will come along and move this thread into (at a guess) the SC Defenders thread because it doesn't add anything that couldn't be discussed in that thread.

I've dropped him from my side, for no real reason...

I was just about to bring this up. He seems borderline. Would Robbie Tarrant be a better option for the same price?

Why not having both (not thatI have both)?

I have 400,000 left for this last defender, any recommendations?

I had him last year. The first half of the year he played down back and score 40s-60s. The second half he was moved forward as a defensive forward and scored a lot better, 70s+. If you're really interested, wait until you see where he's named for in Round 1 as he might be a pretty solid smokey if he carries on his form from the second half of last year. However there's also a very good chance he'll do nothing much and at $350k that's a big risk.

Unfortunately Ashton Hams is currently rookie listed, probably wont see a game until round 11 once he can be upgraded,will be a future gun though.

Then you realise...."If I downgrade Chaplin, I can have Gibbs for Grimes or Broughton"

At 300k odd he needs to average the 95-100 anyway which is a fair ask.
