We got a small changeroom and bathroom upgrade etc but it's purely bandaid fixes.

Our main rooms definitely in need for some love and a second level would make for great watching at the Kennel.
Hard because all the developments down the road at Beena, unlikely for council to make big improvements everywhere, especially if junior program is not prolific

Dingley's new social rooms finally opened after a 2 year wait and they are brilliant! Credit to the club's President and Committee who worked their asses off for the club to be so competitive under such pressure. They deserved a flag but for Chelt although this year's flag would be just reward.

They will be elite Mahalo. Look like they could have the best set up in the comp now.

Is the cage still there? Was always a highlight of a trip to the Den

Highlight when you're not on the receiving end of the Den's abuse haha.

That, or the group over on the hill.

Either way, you were always mindful what to expect if you did something to upset them!

All good fun

You will get new change rooms and social set up in time but you will find council with put in community and function rooms with it that’s the way things are going with pavilions going forward.

To be fair Bedders “all his juniors” was about 1 year, 2 at the most. Gun soccer player at school and switch to AFL was at about U17s. Having said that always good to see a player finish where they started. Will take the P155 in D grade VAFA.
3 years and shocked some at DLS who didn't know he played aussie rules , by the way he is still at Port Melbourne

That young fella has some serious potential. I watched him at N
Charlie Clarke back home to colts, surely it’s not full time at 20? Unless they have got him work. If he is full time he’s good for 50 goals next season .

I’m a big fan of this kid. Watched him at Nab league and vfl over last couple of years. He could play some great VFL at times. Probably just a little incompetent and immature.
Obviously had some difficulty being a full time AFL player but if he is fit and healthy and SFNL level he could kick 50 plus from the midfield. As some great athletic qualities.
Not a port fan but i’ll definitely try get down to watch this young fella play. We had a little cheer squad for him at the dogs.
Good luck Chook

Could there be a gather round type weekend pre season on the border with clubs like Cheltenham and Balwyn
A champions league type preseason comp? I love that idea & would draw big crowds....but sadly clubs (probably Chelt excluded) would treat it with the same interest as interleague. But a 4 week comp (3 week round robin & 1 final) could look like

Balwyn v
Cheltenham v
Hoppers Crossing v
Heidelberg

AFL Vic put up $5000 prize money
Apologies Old Scotch there's a restricted salary cap required ;):)

Anyway that's enough of fantasy land

A while back James Boag tried this, sponsored a preseason competition for all the leagues around VIC.

We (St Pauls) were invited as reigning premiers and got grouped up with Scoresby (Vermont didn't take part), Shepp United and Bell Park.

We didn't win a game.

Applied ourselves well against Scoresby but got beaten convincingly by the other two.

Cranbourne was there from memory. Shepparton took it out from memory.
