The operation is a precaution that is intended to strengthen the hamstring for the future
Seems out of character.
Other times surgery is last resort - and yet here, reportedly, where going surgery for preventative purposes.
Weird.

Izak Rankine?It rhymes with wanking
They're shortening his hamstrings to theoretically increase his jumping ability.
He's going to be all right.
He's going to be all right.
TBC the lot of themOn CH7 with Ryan Daniels just now, Simpson explained that it was indeed minor and quite low in the hamstring
The operation is a precaution that is intended to strengthen the hamstring for the future
He also said that Shuey’s hamstring is very minor and he’s not feeling any discomfort to the point where he’s a chance to play this weekend pending scans
Yeo a possibility this weekend but if not, will be right the following week
How close to reality any of the above is I wouldn’t now but that is what was said
I’m not a dr but I would think surgery would be avoided if possible. Not sure how surgery can strengthen it?
Me either but they should do the other one as well while they are there because why not?I’m not a dr but I would think surgery would be avoided if possible. Not sure how surgery can strengthen it?
I've been pretty tolerant of the club these past few years, but it's honestly gotten to the point where I have zero trust and confidence in its abilty to handle player fitness and injury. Whether it be prevention, treatment, rehab, training, surface/facilities, disclosure - take your pick - we have been repeatedly coming up short on all fronts. "Bad luck" can only explain so much.
I have no idea what the answer is and clearly the club doesn't either. It's so damned despressing.
Agreed the only thing I'm thinking with being so over precautious is because we want pick 1 and until it's 100% cemented we will be like this with players having slight niggles pull them out for weeks. I blame it on Kangas being so stubborn and there refusal to give up on pick 1. They are still deliberately losing games. They want the number 1 pick and think we will get two more wins. Isn't going to happen. This week will be interesting but have a feeling Kangas will pull five players out minimum before our game. Basically means we must not win for the remainder of the season after that. Let's play their game. Drop any player for even the slightest niggle. Not sure how the coach is responsible for deciding which injured player should go back on. Surely that’s a decision for the medicos on the bench.
If nothing is Simmos responsibility then why even have a coach? Should just replace the Auzzie the Eagle compeition with a "Coach the team" competition at this rate
Yeah Simmo is not to blame for sending him back on. Whoever is on the bench has form , Strapping Willie after tweaking his hammy last year , sending Ryan back on , or Sending Shuey back on in 2021 with a hammy and then him doing both in the process & then sending Gov back out a few weeks back. That is just a few i can think of but sure there has been wayyyy more.
