Review Slow starting Cats come storming home to defeat Tigers by 30 points

In the first half some were ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater, preparing to microwave memberships and any other negatives you can think

Others hung in there to see what would eventuate

Scott started making moves late in the second quarter with a key switch being 3 goal Dempsey to the forward line and Cameron to the wing

It kick started something with Richmond held to 3 goals after halftime while we piled on 10

Let it rip

Important win and good to see some players played into form, but let’s be honest that was an extremely weak opposition who we made look like millionaires for a half. Hugely worrying signs persist.

A ten goal loss is on the cards this week against a flag contender.

Horrid first half but got things back on our terms in the second half.
The 30 disposal curse proven right again, Holmes and Bowes doing the team thing and stopping on 29 touches.
Few players well down on form and confidence, the entire team seems to have lost cohesion and connectivity.
Good to break the run and get the W but not much to write home for, and a tough game left before the bye.

Appalled by that performance.

Just as pathetic as the past month… only difference is we played a crap team tonight.

Smashed around the ball for half a game by very ordinary kids and around the contest.

Would have lost that against most sides in the league.

Play that way next week we will lose by 10 goals.

Yep. Richmond are bad.

Not a fan of our rope-a-dope gameplan?

Our last five games first halves have been ordinary, we’ve been much better in the second half of each game.

Gutsy win, we aren’t flying at the moment and we had to get the chocolates to give us some momentum back.

Ollie Dempsey take a bow, felt he was huge, close has plenty of class, Kolo, Stewart and Jack Henry were fairly good tonight.

Despite some serious butchering from both Atkins and Bruhn, they put in every contest, Bowes was fantastic. Holmes is a jet, and going to be a champion for years.

Neale and Hawk were effective up forward.

Next week will be tough, but then we get the bye, still a win is much better than the other result.

Goooo Cats!!

We out worked them in the end. Did it much harder then it needed to be more. We just have to back in our younger mids. Lets not worry about load management for the next 8 weeks. The MC is gonna have to start respecting Bowes.

Our poor defensive group has had it rough the last 5 matches.

Richmond were great for the first half. Against Sydney, St Kilda and Essendon they similarly fired. When they show up, even with their absences, they are fine.

Any win after being outplayed and dismantled to the tune of 5 goals, having to fight back in the wet, is a good one.

I didn't give him votes and maybe, maybe he could have slotted into a vote, but I didn't mind Bruhns game either.
Kept persisting throughout, didn't use it as well as you'd hope at times but I thought he battled all night.
Well below Bowes and Holmes in terms of midfielders tonight but I still liked his game.
